The first time I saw black & a white photograph that had an accent color on the plot. The process must have involved a lot of work and a very talented artist at the very least, or so I believed. Over the years I have seen various examples of black & amp; white images with a touch of color, some hand colored, others computer aided. Each example made me want to try to duplicate something similar with a few selected photographs of my own. When I bought a copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements, it was with this in mind that it helped me decide that I did. I need an example.
I scoured the web for information and tutorials on how to get the desired effect I wanted later, and when some of them were fake, for example hand painting black & white photos, some are drawn, long tutorials on how to remove one color from a model from within photo editing software . Surely there had to be another, i.e., easier way of dealing with this matter. Was!
In Adobe Photoshop Elements, open a copy of the color photograph to duplicate this art. You must remember the original photograph that you need to work from, starting with the color of this technique to work on. Go to File, Open, and select the file where you saved your image before, and select the image itself. Once you’ve opened it within Elements, save the copy right away so that if you run out of useful products, you’ll still have the original file to work with.
Then click on Layer, New and Layer by Pattern. The image on your desktop will look no different than before you did this, but in fact you now have two copies of your image, one layered on top of the other.
Now to create your black & You are going to edit the white photo in the top layer, the copy that was just created. This in itself can do two things. One way is to click on Filter, Outline, and Halftone Pattern. When a window opens that allows you to adjust the settings for the half pattern, you’ll want to adjust the Contra slider. When you’re done with your adjustments, click OK to apply the halved pattern to your photo frame. Alternatively, click to enlarge, Adjust Color, and Remove Color. Note that this puts the secret to how you are going to grow black & white photograph with color accents. Under the black & The white photo model lies in your model, the color is, at the moment, just not visible.
At this point you should consider which parts of your picture you would like to recolor as well. In my example, I replaced my grandson’s coat and a few leaves on the ground simulating his footprints. I achieved this by selecting the Eraser Tool, which in turn opened the Brush option and then selected the default and shape brush size that I was comfortable with working with as I erased the top layer Black & Showing a white photo, showing a color photo below through the top layer. There was also a combination of View and Zoom, which allowed me to zoom in on the area of the photo that I wanted to restore color as well. You can zoom in and out while you’re working, just don’t bother with the option and it gives you enough power to delete the parts you want to remove.
