I first had the pleasure of reading Andy Stanley’s book Louder than Words (The power of Uncompromised Living) in 2007 when I was attending Victory World Training for Ministry. I remember thinking to myself “not another book”. Our reading requirements were at least 2 to 3 hours per day and that did not include the actual homework. Needless to say, it was a labor of love. Andy Stanley’s, in the words of Seneca, the book stood out among the 20 others because of the challenge to face the flaws of your character.
Most people, especially in the Christian community, do not tend to examine their character. But the grace of these seems to be sufficient. When God tells us that his grace is sufficient, it is not enough to simply say: Grace will take care of my behavior. You also have to build your character, which you eventually want to be a faithful, compassionate person and remain a legal citizen. It never ceases to amaze me the number of people who come to church every week and even help to serve the community, but lack character.
Morality Andy Stanley defines in his book “the will to do what is right, determined by God, at the expense of any person. In addition, to explain the most >people in the world have a vague idea of circumstances. Andy tells in Chapter Two about a missionary named John Wolfinger and how he found out who he was impersonating. The definition of behavior said Wolfinger was leading hundreds of Christian converts in Borneo.
Wolfinger’s followers planned to hide him in the mountains until the danger passed. Wolfinger thought that by running from his captives, the new Christians had converted to a false image of God. His converts, however, urged him to reconsider his plan, and Wolfinger explained that when the Japanese asked where he was hiding, his followers were lying, and that was not acceptable. Wolfinger therefore remained, as the image of God’s nature, captured and executed. lam behavior!
Andy Stanley goes to great lengths to get the reader in Seneca’s words to examine their behavior and life. that is absolutely. Stanley writes another great chapter in this book about Letting Go of the Past. In fact, when you read this chapter, you will know how things in your past can and will affect your future, and why you need to let go of the past and not only forgive others, but forgive yourself in order to move on. to fulfill your purpose and destiny.
You can purchase Andy Stanley’s “Words of Praise” at all major book stores such as Barnes and Noble or online at Amazon.com. The price point for this tablet is $6.00 to $15.00 depending on whether you buy it new or used. This is a great book for leaders in ministry, business, community and life.
