Regular drip coffee makers are great if you want a whole pot of coffee. But the way they are organized, the whole jar needs to be prepared ahead of time to make a great sauce. But what do you do if you are the only coffee drinker in the house? It seems wasteful to throw out ten cups of coffee when you only want one. Pressure brewers like the Melitta Una: Una and Senseo will send hot water at high pressure through a single pot of coffee to serve, allowing you to brew just one cup at a time. What is it for you?
Design
Both Melitta and Senseo offer modern, linear designs and various colors to match your kitchen. The Cylinder Arc Sensei, however, is a bit heavy and awkward looking, while the curved pyramid design of the Melitta Una: Una is much more classic and works better with many different decors. One big plus for Senseo though is the optional 10 cup water that you can purchase. your machine 2 pots of coffee with my standard Melitta Uno: One full tank, which is perfect for a normal day, but when I have guests over five from Senseo before I have to fill it up. The larger tank adds even more mass to the machine in the Senseo, but in great pleasure. Both Melitta Una: Una and Senseo offer different sizes of flasks to accommodate different cups, and everything from tea cups to great travel The beetles will fit on both machines.
Brewing Time
It seems like neither the Melitta Una: Una nor the Senseo heats up quickly enough for that first cup of coffee in the morning, but nothing is faster to get a cup brewed from start to finish. Both have a pretty quick time, about 2 minutes, and once the water is heated it’s just a matter of a quick push of the button before my coffee is done. Both machines also provide a small amount of brewing, about half bald, so if you are a strong coffee lover, you can skip half the time and switch to a new pod in the middle, or reuse one pod for a no less strong cup. .
Coffee bean
The most noticeable difference between the Melitta Una and the Senseo machine are the coffee pods. The Melitta One: One Javapods are very high quality in my opinion, and they come in more flavors and blends. My personal favorite is the Melitta Una: Una Kona Blend, and it’s hard to find a blend like the single serve coffee. Melitta Una: Una also offers several tea pods, from herbal-teas to black teas and the favorite, chai tea. Senseo also offers teapots, but only in Earl Gray and green tea. Senseo has one option that Melitta Una: They don’t offer a single pod cappuccino, but the cappuccino is noticeably artificial and doesn’t taste nearly as good as the cappuccinos you get from a real coffee house.
Although the Melitta One:One Javapods are better than the Senseo, they are smaller, and the Melitta One:One machine can only handle the basic size of a coffee pod. They are harder to come by and always order them online. Senseo, on the other hand, can handle larger pods and even Melitta Una: Javapodas and teapods. A Senseo machine can include Folgers, Home Cafe, Millstone, and every other brand of coffee pods out there making it very easy to find a coffee machine.
My final decision
Unless you absolutely have to look at Malta’s One: One cup coffee machine, get a Senseo. You can still use Melitta Una: Una pod, plus any other pods you can find. If you opt for a larger tank in the Senseo, you’ll never need another coffee maker.
