Frankenmuth is one of the most popular tourist towns in Michigan and is the most popular attraction at Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland. Hundreds of thousands of people pass through the world’s largest Christmas store every year, but many mistakes are made every day. If you’re thinking of visiting Bronner’s while in Frankenmuth, make sure you know these first travel tips.
Morning
I head to Bronner’s Amazing Christmas at different times of the year and find the best time bride with the store opens early in the morning. The only exceptions to this rule would be in the month between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve or the day after Christmas. Store at 9:00 p.m. it’s open during the week so you can get in at least a few hours of comfortable shopping before the mad rush begins.
Escape Weekends
If you want to have the same cramped and claustrophobic Christmas shopping experience any time of the year, you’ll want to be at Bronner’s on the weekend. I avoid traveling to Frankenmuth on the weekend as hotel room prices skyrocket and parking becomes very difficult. Although Bronner’s doesn’t own a hotel, traffic from hotels a few blocks away backs up to capacity.
Go to the first Brouner
For many years Michiganders had a tradition of traveling to Frankenmuth for the day and staying at Bronner’s while en route. The main strip of Frankenmuth has dozens of places where perishable food can be purchased. Items from Frankenmuth’s Cheese Haus, Fudge Kitchen, and Taffy Kitchen are likely to spoil or melt in a hot car. Instead of worrying about how the fuel will be in the car, Bronner’s will hit the road in Frankenmuth, so your gear won’t be affected by most temperatures.
Have it in your directions
Over 530,000 feet of labyrinthine holiday joy, it’s easy to get lost in the Christmas Wonderland. After being in stock a few hundred times in my life, I may still be converted occasionally as the racks and bins are sometimes modified to suit the merchandising area or to modify particular products. My wife, who is terrible with parties, never wants to stray from my side, as she believes that she is instantly lost.
There are three ways to shop well at Bronner’s without missing out. The entire perimeter Shop and then the center Shop, the center and then the perimeter, or through the sections of the shop. Each “section” is labeled so pay attention to the signs hanging from the ceiling indicating the area of household products if you shop this way. As long as you stick to the plan, you won’t be wandering around for hours like a holiday zombie trying to find a way out.
