It goes something like this…
A flea crawls into your pant leg, sock, or shoe after you’ve been gardening, mowing, etc. . He immediately drops it on you and on the pet. After it has had its meal, the flea goes down to lay its eggs. Female mosquitoes can lay about 15 to 20 eggs per day, up to 600 in a flea’s lifetime. That’s one mosquito!

One of the most effective products on the market today is from Bayer. This is a personal favorite and the first choice for cats that suffer from flea allergies. The utility is safe, non-systemic, and fleas don’t even kill the cat. When you are allergic to cat saliva, this is the best.
The next product I recommend is Revolution by Pfizer. Revolution is not only an effective flea control product, but also treats mites (roundworms, hookworms, and ear mites) and ear mites. Infestation is at least one or the other use. This one is ideal for outdoor cats.
Frontline Plus Merial is another safe, effective flea product that kills ticks.
I cannot stress enough the importance of getting these flea products repaired by a licensed professional. There are copycat products on the market available over-the-counter at your local pet store or other discount stores that are more are more likely to kill your cat than fleas.
