A Haunting, Featuring the Dartford Cemetery

I’m a huge fan of the Discovery Channel TV show “A Haunting.” The show in chapter 10 shows how to write for my TIVO. I’ve always loved ghost stories, but I make a point not to watch the show late at night. The show has a spooky host walking you through a real life symbol. Haunting” reminded me of “Unsolved Mysteries” with its reenactments, plus eyewitness accounts from those who experienced the horror.

The most recent event is called “Legend Trippers”. Three brave young men take it upon themselves to investigate the legend of their town. A “Legend Tripper” is someone who investigates random haunted places to judge for themselves if they are haunted.

Burial at “Dartford Cemetery” which is located in Greenlake, Wisconsin. Legend has it that if you sit on top of the mausoleum the ghost will repel you. Yeah, sure let’s go! I do not think!

The show begins with a teenager sneaking into a cemetery late one night. First they take a peek at an Indian grave. According to the site in the features of the show “Unexplained Research”, the apparitions of the Indian princess are often noted. The teenager climbs into the mausoleum and then begins to tell a story that happened on Halloween to some teenagers from their school.

Story: As a teenager, Nick takes searching. /a> fun to make for himself and his friends on Halloween night. He came across the site “Unexplained Research” which has a list of places of interest in Wisconsin. He decides to go to “Dartford Cemetery”. This “Legend of the Triplets” has to dare to do something with an appetite to suggest a super natural event. You dare to sit on this mausoleum. So, of course, Nick and his friends (Joannes & Christian) decide to take the risk.

It’s simple, to see these boys walking through a cemetery at night on Halloween is pretty creepy to me. They walk around the cemetery and try to provoke the ghosts to come out. But nothing happens unless one person makes fun of another. They go up to the mausoleum and see a small crack behind them. This scares them because it wasn’t there before. They go down and before John can get down he is pushed. He shouts to his friends telling them that someone just pushed him! The other two guys are embarrassed when they don’t even tell their friend about the story, lest he be too afraid to join them. Nick heads back to the car with John, because he’s a little more than a fool. The other Christian guy, though, wants to control things a little more. Strong guy, right? I guess not remembering one of the major rules of horror movies. It has NEVER been torn apart!

More and more spousal details happen to each child, as names and times change on tombstones & seeing people Confused and frightened, the boys headed towards their house without speaking. Only later after Nick has a dream about a cemetery do they decide to talk about it. The story goes from one to the next.

The show goes back to the original teenagers who were down in “Dartford Cemetery” and I think their experience was extremely creepy. Evil seems to follow them outside the cemetery!

I’m sure this show will attract a lot of people to be one of the many Legend Trippers. But Nick and friends will never come back! I don’t check them.

The show also shows information on another haunted-locations called “Witch Road” which is located in Rosendale, Wisconsin. You can find out more on the Witch’s Road to “Unexplained Research”.
