A Hamburger Guy Reviews Burger Moe’s

My best friend Bill and I were eating hamburgers at a diner called Chef Royal in Melbourne, Florida. They had the best hamburgers I’ve ever had; thick, flame-grilled patty, heavy American cheese, on a scu bun. The burger was served piping hot, with juice dripping from the patty; Oh, the best hamburgers to be had. From the Royal Chef, Bill and I discussed the study of women, planned our future, and laughed. to life. Since these times, I have been of equal value to the roast. The Holy Grail has become mine. I came across Moe’s Burger and thought I’d give it a try, here are my thoughts;

Moe’s Burger offers 19 variations of burgers, an excellent choice for a place billing itself as a burger joint. The classic starts at $7.95 up to the Kobe burger at $10.50. I settled for the Moe’s Original Burger with caramelized onions and American cheese for $8.50. The burger comes with fries, although you can upgrade to onion rings, waffle fries or tater tots for an extra $2.00. The waitress convinced me to go with tater tots. I thought it was expensive for everyone; I can understand onion rings, but tater tots!

The burger is served on a thick sesame bun (not toasted) that overpowers the flavor of the meat. The patty doesn’t seem too hot or juicy. Moe’s Burger adds Chipotle Aioli to the bun, which does nothing for it and I think it’s a poor way to try and spice up a simple American dish. I really hate it when restaurants do this, and I would have ordered it without the sauce if I had read the small print on the menu. A burger should only be served with the basic ingredients. I had a burger and tots for $10.50.

Moe’s Burger offers 40 beers on tap and 60 different bottled beers. I went with two pale-ale in the draft and was in another $10.00 dollars. I thought $5.00 was a high draft for lunch. The waitress offered the table and recommended the Churros sundae. I went for ice cream and sundae. It was a churro with two scoops of ice cream and drizzled with some chocolate sauce for $4.95. No whipped cream and no cherry on top. How can you have a sundae without a cherry? I thought it was pretty lame.

So, $10.50 burger, $10.00 wings, $4.95 sundae, $5.00 tip, and $30.00 out the door. A precious meal!

The atmosphere is nice, live music live on Friday, and the place is good in the Excel Arena. I think, however, that he will go twice.
