Planning a birthday party for a 13 year old can be a daunting task at best. In our family we organized a treasure hunt for the third birthday party. My younger kids look forward to this as they watch their older siblings have treasure hunts.

Another idea would require them to do good work at a local bank or restaurant. Whatever the sense, not so much following, until all the requirements for the sense. To keep that fun, we vary the needs and make some of them very simple, like going to a specific email address and “asking for a lemon”. When the person gives them the lemon it comes with a string attached. This works great if you plan lemonade at a party, by the way. So you can think of any food you like.
