2010 BCS Bowl Game Picks and Predictions

Here are my 2010 BCS Bowl Game Predictions! I’ve already predicted many of the major sporting events for 2010 but I’m narrowing it down for more fun and giggles with the college football BCS games. There are five big games on the BCS Bowl game schedule but we’ll start with #1 vs. #2.

What are my 2010 BCS Bowl Game Predictions for the National Championship game? My picks and predictions are that Alabama will roll past Florida 34-17. You can see this and my other sport predictions for 2010 here.
Why do I think Alabama will win the National Championship? The Tide rolled past Florida to win the SEC title. Texas struggled with Nebraska. Heisman winner Mark Ingram will go out on top with not only the player of the year award but the big prize in the National Title game. Alabama is now way more versatile and armed with a strong quarterback in Greg McElroy. If you add the best defense in the nation then you’ve got a nearly unbeatable team. Can Texas upset the Tide? Colt McCoy is going to have to work very hard for his yards through the air and on the ground. Momentum is certainly a crazy thing and you can never count on the battle of turnovers. Texas wins only if Alabama struggles a lot early and has to pass to win late. I say the Tide won’t struggle at all.

Moving on with the 2010 BCS Bowl Game schedule and let’s talk about the Orange Bowl between Iowa and Georgia Tech. What are my picks and predictions for this BCS Bowl battle? Georgia Tech just has too much offense in my opinion for Iowa in this contest. Iowa will need 27 points plus to keep up with Georgia Tech during a bad offensive showing. The Hawkeyes will barely muster 20 points, if that. My 2010 BCS Bowl Game Picks and Predictions have Tech winning this one 36-21.

We aren’t quite done with the BCS Bowl game schedule. My 2010 BCS Bowl Game Predictions and Picks continue with the Fiesta Bowl between TCU and Boise State. Who will win this game between two teams without a loss? Destiny should have it end in a tie. I say TCU will outscore Boise State in one of the more memorable Bowl games in recent history by a 40-36 final.

The 2010 BCS Bowl Game Predictions and picks continue with the Sugar Bowl. Who will win between Florida and Cincinnati? And who would have thought in 2009 after Florida became National Champs that the BCS Bowl game schedule would pit the Gators against an undefeated Cincy team in 2010?
I still have the Gators chomping their way to a 48-16 victory. Tim Tebow and Carlos Dunlap live large in this one. It’s a big exit and the television cameras will probably follow every story line ever thought up on Tim Tebow. My prediction is most will turn off and gag before the end of the 3rd quarter of the Tim Tebow story. Tebow is great but let’s hope we don’t get TMI on TT.

Finally we take a look at the 2010 Rose Bowl between Oregon and Ohio State. This could be one of the more interesting matchups of the entire BCS Bowl schedule. Will the Buckeyes defense be able to slow down a high octane Oregon offense? My picks and predictions for this 2010 BCS Bowl game has the Ducks on top in the end 34-28. I’ve toyed with Ohio State winning in several different scenarios but in my gut somehow, someway the Ducks manage to win this one.

Here is a rundown of the complete 2010 BCS Bowl game schedule.
