Have you ever wanted to do something really goofy? Or maybe you are just really creative. We have all watched M & M’s turn in to characters with legs, arms, and a mouth that speaks. These M & M characters have starred in countless television commercials. Now you actually have the chance to create your own M & M character and use it to be bought and sold on tons of different merchandise. Here’s how you can do it:
1. Visit http://us.mms.com/us/ and click on Become an M & M. You will immediately get to view some real people and the M & M look-a-like that they created. There are some really good ones and it is fun to watch if you have an extra minute.
2. Click Character Creator and start by choosing your body type. At the bottom you will see a strip of color shades. Don’t forget to pick which color you want your body before moving on to the next step. If you want to leave it yellow you don’t have to do anything. Once you are finished with body type click body parts on the left. Make sure you choose both arms and legs in this category. You will see a drop down menu on the left. Remember to check the color strip at the bottom so you can choose the color that best describes you. When you are finished click Face. In this category you must choose eyes, eyebrows, mouth, and hair. Again don’t forget about the color strip. The next category is face extras. This is only necessary if you wear glasses or have facial hair. I don’t so I move on to the next category: Clothing. This consists of hats and shoes. I don’t wear hats so I just found a pair of shoes that look like what I normally wear. The last category is accessories. I work from home and am always at the computer so I chose the coffee cup.
3. When you have your M & M’s just right click Next. Then click shop for products in the Mporium. You will then get a chance to choose a name for your M & M. There are plenty of great names to choose from and I am sure you will find one that fits your personality. Then you will get a list of products to choose from. For an example I am choosing the mug. You will have to wait a minute or two while it builds your custom merchandise. Prices for the mugs start at $12.95. You can get a fancier mug or a larger size if you are willing to pay more.
4. Creative Ideas. I am seriously thinking about creating a character for each of my family members and buying a piece of merchandise for them for Christmas. It would make a unique gift and is no doubt going to bring about some good laughs. Just make sure if you do this that it won’t hurt someone’s feelings.
