As parents, we are constantly looking for fun things to do with our family during the summer. Unfortunately, most fun activities involve large costs for us. But, since the crisis economics globally has spread, every family has found some creative ways to spend their affordable summer.
Where we live, we’re lucky enough to have a little bit of everything in or around our regions, we’re talking serious fun in the sun, water, wind and snow. Here are some of the funthings we found along the way while looking for ways to celebrate our family’s summer vacation. pay without a bank (please)!
1. San Francisco Museum of Modern Art: We took our children here and we are not confused. There were lots of fun, interactive things to do. You can also pack your own lunch. Except for the admission fee, everything else is free. If you don’t want to pay an admission fee either, you can enter for free on certain days of the month. Simply go to their website to find out more about it.
2. Golden Gate Park: This park has a lot to offer apart from it. through the famous golden gate of the bridge. If you are into nature walks, trail hikes and bike or pedal boating, then Golden Gate Park is the place. anger. The book is admitted to the park; for a small fee, you can get some treats for your family to enjoy.
3. California Academy of Sciences: This is a beautiful museum inside. Golden Gate Park and you definitely don’t miss it if you’re in San Francisco. It is fun, educational, interactive, and entertaining for young and old. Like the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, there are several days in every month that you can enter for free, simply go to their website to find out more.
4. Santa Cruz Beaches: Famous for the Boardwalk, Santa Cruz is wild. to offer for all. Partying on the Boardwalk, making sand towers, playing in the sand, people watching and hanging out on the beach are all free. The only things you will have to pay for are MARMORA rides, food and groceries.
5. Attendance at local festivals in the area. Summer is the best time to attend local festivals for free or with little pay. Not only will you save your family serious money, you will also create a sense of belonging between you and your partner.
6. Flying bird in your park: This is an all-time favorite if you have small kids in the family. All you need to do is head to your local store and grab some kites, pack some snacks and head to your favorite local park and start flying your kite, given the perfect day to fly one.
7. Visit the neighborsState Park: Going to state parks is one of my favorite. things you do with my family, you are not alone, what kind of time you spend with the people you love; you also learn a little bit of history in the process. Where we live, we’ve tried yosemite State Park and Tomales State Park, and both of these state parks are incredible; of magnificent waterfalls and primeval beaches and vaults; and if you happen to be in Northern California, I recommend that you visit one or both of these places.
8. I want to live in your town. This is my version of a “Volunteer Vacation” where you travel in or out of your city to make a difference on vacation together. Well, you don’t have to travel far or have thousands of dollars to spend so that if you look around, your city could use the help of you and your family. Just check with local non-profit organizations and see if they have volunteer opportunities to sign up for.
9. Continuing to the local theme. If you can’t afford a trip to Disneyland, who says you can’t have fun at all? Where we live, two of our favorite theme parks to go to are Discovery Kingdom and Gilroy Gardens. They offer fun rides, interactive activities, shows, food, games and plenty of entertainment.
10. Ticket routes. A trip to the zoo is not only fun, but you also help non-profit organizations in saving the wonderful animals. Our local favorites are the Sacramento Zoo and the San Francisco Zoo. Check them out if you happen to be in Northern California.
