Top 10 Most Loved Campfire Songs
Even though it seems like summer is almost over we can still enjoy campfire songs. I know we have a campfire in the backyard (fire pit) once in a while and it is fun to sing songs that the kids know and love. So why not let loose and go camping this weekend and sing some fun songs. In the winter time just sing around the fire place-it may seem silly but it will make you smile.
Top ten of my favorite campfire songs (no particular order):
1. Home On The Range: I added this because being around a campfire has a cowboy feel to it and kids enjoy feeling that they are out west on some type of adventure. I sing this song when I am by myself and make silly adjustments to it. A link to the lyrics: http://www.kididdles.com/lyrics/h020.html
2. Kum Ba Yah-For some reason when I think of campfires I think of this song. It could be because I went to religious camps growing up but this song just pops into my head and it is such and easy song to sing. A link to the lyrics: http://www.scoutsongs.com/lyrics/kumbayah.html
3. I’ve Been Working on The Railroad-A friend brought this song up when I mentioned campfire songs. It seem a bit odd but the more I think about it the more I realize it is easy for kids and adults to sing and know. 10. Pizza Hut-This is a song that I do not know but I have been told that it is a good campfire song so I am adding it here for those who enjoy it. For those who are like me and did not know the song existed here is a link to the lyrics: http://www.ultimatecampresource.com/site/camp-activity/pizza-hut.html
Most of the songs above are oldies that everyone in the family should know. If you have a song that is current and your family loves it then sing it! After all, you are bonding together has a family so take advantage of it.
