Love to go shopping the day after Thanksgiving? Well you and the rest of Cincinnati really love this American tradition. The powers that be should declare Black Friday a national shopping holiday!
If you are going to be in the Cincinnati area for Thanksgiving here is a guide to the best Friday after Thanksgiving Sales in the Queen City.
The Gap Located in the Rookwood Shopping Center
This Gap has some of the best sales I have ever seen. Now, we have all been in a Gap store before. The sales section is usually so picked through it is not even worth wasting any time on. Well, that is just not the case at this particular Gap. Last year I bought sweaters for my better half in the men’s section that were over 50% off the original price. They even had his size! I ended up getting $50 sweaters for about $19.99. Now, that is seriously a fabulous sale! You can get all of your shopping done at the Gap in the Rookwood shopping center easily on the day after Thanksgiving. My neighbor swears by the sale rack in the female side of the store as well!
Gap in the Rookwood Shopping Center is located at 2659 Edmondson Road, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45207.
Parking can be a real hassle in this parking lot, so wear some comfortable shoes and be prepared to hike! If you have elderly family members or friends with disabilities shopping with you may want to drop them off at the door while you hunt for a parking space.
Sure Le Table in the Rookwood Shopping Center
Ok, so I love Sur le Table, but they are so pricey! Every year I have to wait for the Friday after Thanksgiving to do my shopping there. My mother and my sister love kitchen related Christmas gifts as much as I do. This sale is worth it for the quality product you can buy on sale. Last year I bought the cutest little Christmas tree for my mother and I bought it for 40% off. It was well worth it ad she loved it. The Christmas ornaments were all mini baker!
Sure Le Table is located at 2659 Edmondson Road, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45207.
Again this store is in that infamous Rookwood Shopping Center. The central location of this outdoor mall brings crowds from all around and parking is truly a nightmare. The big sales make it worth the trip though!
Macys at Kenwood Town Mall
OK, I am not one to recommend to anyone that they head out for a mall for the big sales the day after Thanksgiving, but Macy’s in Cincinnati may be the exception. You can park outside their door if you are patient and avoid the entire mall scene. Macy’s across America all host massive sales that start the day after Thanksgiving and run all the way to New Years.
If you are out shopping for clothing for yourself or even clothing to give as gift you just cannot beat the sales at this Macy’s. You should expect to find clothing, shoes, jewelry, and purses for about 20% to 60% off. You can also check out their flyers for some extra coupons!
The traffic around this newly remodeled Kenwood mall can get very heavy. You need to plan on having a little patience when approaching the mall. You can get stuck at some of the intersections, but once you clear the lights, you should be able to pull straight into the mall.
Macy’s in Kenwood Mall is located at 7875 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, 45208. This about 5 to 10 minutes north of downtown Cincinnati. A very easy drive up 71 North to exit 12.
