Are you planning on hosting a Candy Land themed party for your daughter this year? If so, you make want to take a peek at a few of my Candy Land themed party favor ideas. Here they are:
Candy Flavored Lip Smackers
Depending on your party guests’ ages, you may want to consider handing out candy flavored Lip Smackers. Candy flavored Lip Smackers are often sold through department, drug and specialty stores for less than $5 a pack. There are several different candy flavored Lip Smackers to choose from including Skittles Flavored Lip Smackers, Starburst Flavored Lip Smackers and Bubble Gum Flavored Lip Smackers.
Candy Land Themed Hair Accessories
Candy themed hair accessories would also make excellent Candy Land themed party favors. If you have never made Candy Land themed hair accessories before, you may want to check out the YouTube website. There is a great video on the site entitled “Lollipop/Candy Hair Clip Tutorial.” It explains how to make the most adorable lollipop hair ribbons out of ribbon. The Five Star Fonts website also has instructions for making cute cotton candy barrette covers out of felt.
Candy Land Themed Crafts
In my opinion, Candy Land themed crafts would make wonderful, dual purpose party favors. They’ll give the kids something to do during the party and serve as a party keepsake. One of my favorites is an ice cream soda magnet craft. It is easy to make. All you’ll need is a case of 1 ounce clear plastic medicine cups ($50), different size pom poms in assorted colors ($9), chenille pipe cleaners ($3), craft glue and some self-adhesive magnets ($6). Have the kids glue some pom poms inside the medicine cups to represent scoops of ice cream. Then add a piece of chenille pipe cleaner to represent the straw. Afterward, attach a self-adhesive magnet to one side of the medicine cup. That is all there is to it.
Candy Land Themed Cookies and Candies
In my experience, Candy Land themed cookies would also make a great party favor. In order to make Candy Land themed cookies, you’ll need a series of cookie cutters, colored icing and sugar cookie dough. Technically, you could use a wide variety of candy shaped cookie cutters to make the treats. In most instances, you can buy candy themed cookie cutters through kitchen specialty shops for less than $10 each. I’d also suggest that you consider putting the cookies inside Candy Land favor boxes. Party supply shops like Birthday Express typically sell cases of Candy Land Favor Boxes (four boxes to a case) for less than $3 each. Of course a bag full of Candy Land themed candy would make a superlative party favor as well. Candies to consider including are gum drops, lollipops, peanut butter filled molasses sticks and licorice sticks.
Candy Land Board Game
If you have an ample sized budget, you may also want to consider giving each party guest their own copy of the Candy Land board game. Based on my experience, you can generally purchase a copy of the original Candy Land board game through most toy and department stores for $9.
