Top Ten Paramore Songs

10. “I Caught Myself”
Seriously, how many of us have caught ourselves falling or crushing on someone you know is just all wrong about you? There’s no reason to stay around them but there’s just something that keeps drawing you back. This song take that frustration and attraction and puts a spin on it giving it just what it needed to make it to my top ten.

9. “Franklin”
For those of you who don’t know, Paramore originated in Franklin, Tennessee and the song is about the change that no one can ever control. At one point or another, everyone wants to go back to a time where they were happy and this song really embodies that for a person. It’s a great choice to play when you’re feeling like a trip down memory lane.

8. “Swim in Silence”
This song isn’t as well known as the others on this list but it’s still one of my most favorite songs from the band. It’s interesting to say the least. The song is definitely worth a listen with its somber lyrics and eerily soothing music, it will quickly become one of your favorites as well!

7. “Decode”
Alright, with this song you either love it because of Twilight or you hate it because of Twilight. Now, if you’re a part of the latter, hear me out. Forget Edward, Bella, Twilighters, and just focus on the song for a moment. With some of the most amazing lyrics I’ve ever heard and great musical accompaniment, this song has everything it needs to stand on its own, and it’s definitely worth checking whether you’re a vampire or not.

6. “Misery Business”
This is the song that really put Paramore on the map but I think that it deserves the number six slot in this countdown. This song has been overplayed to such a great extent it’s almost not fun anymore, however in small doses you can remember just why this song is so great. The video is amazing and fun to watch and the lyrics are playful. Just remember not to overdo it.

5. “That’s What You Get”
This song is just amazing. It takes a feeling that everyone has had one time or another and makes it fun to listen to! Letting your heart decide certainly has its risks and Paramore definitely reminds their listeners to that without letting them get too down about it.

4. “CrushCrushCrush”
This song is just to fun and the beat makes it a great dance song in my opinion. Everything about the song is so catchy and it’s great to have blasting from this song. Not much more to say than that. Great song, video is a little weird but that’s okay, because the song pretty much rocks.

3. “For a Pessimist, I’m Pretty Optimistic”
I personally like this song for personal reasons. I put my trust in someone who pretty much proved that it was a horrible decision on my part. I love how this song just seems to shove it back in their faces. Other than that, it’s just a great song with great lyrics and a hell of a beat.

2. “Let the Flames Begin”
I’m going to suggest that you just listen to this song if you haven’t already. I’ll wait. Okay, you ready? The power, the feeling, the force behind the words just makes you feel as strong as Superman for those three minutes and eighteen seconds. It’s a song that will never get old for me and I can easily listen to it whenever it plays.

1. “We are Broken”
Amazing, gut-wrenching, and powerful. This song embodies Paramore to the fullest extent. The lyrics are so powerful and thought provoking that I almost listen to it in a reverence-like state. While the band has numerous hits but this one is amazing. Interpret it to mean whatever you want it to mean because there’s different battles for each person out there and there isn’t one single interpretation out there for the world to accept. What should be accepted is that this song is the purest of Paramore. Utterly and absolutely perfect.

I hope you enjoyed my list and I really hope that you give some of the not so familiar songs a try. Trust me, they’re worth it!
