Webkinz Trading Cards products were created by Ganz Company in 2007. The cards were made to accompany the popular Webkinz games. Webkinz Trading Cards were released in 4 different series and are highly collectible among Webkinz fans. Webkinz Trading cards are still available today both online and in retail stores.

History of Webkinz Trading Cards

Webkinz plush-toys was created by Ganz in 2005. Each Webkinz stuffed animal is attached with a secret code that allows users to enter the Webkinz World online (www.webkinz.com), a virtual world where they can play games and create their homes online pets. After the phenomenal success of Webkinz, Ganz released the first series of Webkinz Trading Cards in 2007 to accompany the Webkinz products.

To capitalize on Webkinz’s popularity, Ganz began manufacturing Webkinz Trading Cards in 2007. Each Webkinz trading card package included collectible cards and bases. online features that could be used to unlock exclusive online rewards, scores, clothing and Webkinz money, called Kinzcash. Each series of Webkinz cards contains 80 to 85 base cards, as well as challenge cards and other exclusive cards.

Series 1 of Webkinz Trading Cards was released by Ganz in 2007. Each pack of trading cards contained 6 cards, including 1 brand name. In January 2008, series 2 of Webkinz Trading Cards were released. In August 2008, Series 3 was released. Series 4 of Webkinz Trading Cards was released in March, 2009.

Webkinz Trading Cards have many important features. Most notably, some Webkinz on Trading Cards include a code for a free pet, some of which are included in the cheesy poem. Each pack contains 6 cards for at least 1 online brand. Series 2 of online trading tools include codes to unlock an exclusive theme room. Series 3 cards developed The Webkinz Trading Card Condo theme and feature codes for unique trading card rewards as well as the new addition of stickers in every package. Series 4 features topics such as Trading Card Furniture, Citizens of Kinzville Furniture and Citizens of Kinsville Clothing. In addition, Series 3 and Series 4 cards contain codes for the rare online pet, Magic Retriever (Series 3) and Mystic Panda (Series 4).
