The Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse was given to Boulder by Mayor Maksud Ikramov in memory of its sister city ties with Dushanbe, Tajikistan. From 1987 to 1990, 40 artists from several cities in Tajikistan created interior-decor teahouse decoration. Dushanbe Teahouse has 15 types of teas to choose from and all can be purchased online.
Dushanbe Teahouse serves afternoon tea from 3 pm to 5 pm daily. Tables are made in the traditional English afternoon savory and sweet tea with three towers art, scones, cinnare bags of cucumber sandwiches, sweet cakes , and a daily cook, all made fresh.
