Experience the Atlantis Resort in Nassau

I’m really excited to share our recent experiences from our trip to (Atlantis) in the Bahamas. It was an absolutely gorgeous place located on Paradise Island, just outside of Nassau. This was a special treat for my wife and I, as neither of us had ever been outside the United States< /a>. We were blown away by all the beauty of the island. From the soft, sandy-beaches to the radiant blue water, we were greeted with stunning scenery around each and every one. This is a truly captivating destination, bounded by its own natural splendor alone.

we stayed in one of the hotels called the royal towers. The view from our balcony was absolutely amazing! The pictures on their website definitely didn’t do it justice. After settling into our rooms, we headed down to one of the many beaches located within a short walk from the lobby. There were so many to choose from that we literally weighed on a different beach every day we were there. And when everything from rowing to sailing was ready, everyone had to do it. The 2008 NBA Players Association was having its Annual Summer Conference while we were there. We also saw P.J. Brown and Derek Fisher in the lobby and pool areas, so that was really cool.

Although we didn’t choose to go sailing, we were able to find a great snorkeling option! We found a great beach resort offering a half day sail to a private island where they let you snorkel at your leisure. My wife was like a fish in water while I drank about thirteen gallons of muriatic acid. Anyway, this was my first time snorkeling, and my first time on a catamaran. While we didn’t have any encounters with sharks, I did have a terrible experience with the bow ladder that provides “easy access” in and out of the water. You may laugh, but try climbing a wet ladder wearing flip flops and a hoe and you’ll see my point.

When we went back to the meeting, we decided to see what the fuss was about about this thing, which they call the “Bapel of Faith.” It’s just a water slide, right? Even the weekend of the lake is important, but it has been said. It rises with a 60-ft. a quasi-vertical drop from the top of the Temple, plunged through a tunnel filled with water, and ends feet-first in a small pool at the bottom of the Temple – What a rush! And what, the spouse, took the leap! This was a terrible thing. I’m just glad she didn’t lose her in the bathing suit by “jumping out.”

Speaking of washing suits, there was one moment on the trip that was really hilarious. Well, at least I thought it was hilarious. We got up one morning for breakfast, and we could not find where to eat. We wandered into a random hotel and finally saw a great place for lunch. We both started grouchy because we hadn’t eaten and it was almost 10 o’clock. dressed in pants and a shirt and Kristy was dressed in a bathing suit as we were. planning to head later. We finally get into the restaurant and the lady tells us that my wife is not dressed appropriately and is allowed to wear t-shirts. Here was the dilemma. The hotel room was at least a twenty minute walk back through the lobby. And it was near the restaurant clothing, which of course “resort” price for everyone inside. We decided to give in to our hunger and bought Kristy a T-shirt to finally eat. Not happy, to say the least.

All in all, this is a great trip. We really had a blast at Atlantis and are planning some island vacations for next year. Let us know if you have any great private island recommendations. I am working on several articles, so check back often for updates. Thanks for reading.
