As a woman with a large body, but a bushy bikini line, I was very excited when I heard about laser hair removal. I dreamed that she could finally flaunt herself in a bikini without having to plan on growing it. I’m not the type of person to try things when they first come out, so I waited a few years in hopes that the laser hair removal would be better and iron out all the kinks. Another thing held me back. After doing some research I found that the laser hair removal process cost more than I thought and I ended up having to spend money.

When I arrived at their office, I had my first laser hair removal consultation, which lasted about 15 minutes. In consultation with the doctor I told that I wanted to get a bikini line. He said that laser hair removal treatment works best on people with light skin who have thick, black hair. I told him I was the perfect candidate. Then he explained to me, using one of those funny plastic medical models, how the laser destroys the follicle.
She told me that laser hair removal takes 5-10 treatments to get the best results. She also said that you should not expose this area to the sun (not a problem because it was the beginning of winter) and that you should not enter the pool 3 days after the laser hair removal treatment . She also said that the nurse and I should point out the line and wanted to leave the shape of the pubic hair in place. I have decided to remove everything, at least with the first laser hair removal treatments, as I want to reduce my pubic hair so that it is not such a bush. I’m still undecided whether to go with a hawk or a triangle as my shape of choice, but I don’t have to decide that for another month or three.
After the laser hair removal consultation with the doctor, the nurse took me back to the laser hair removal treatment room, where I was asked to withdraw from my waist so that I could be prepped for the laser hair removal treatment. When the shave was complete, the nurse then poured me some anesthetic cream. It was cold and white. A nurse wrap saran is placed over the cream and sits for 20 minutes. The nurse dropped in the anesthetic cream and placed some small packs of ice in on my pubic area for another 5 minutes. Then the doctor comes into the room for the laser hair removal procedure.
I was hoping to see what happens during laser hair removal, but they put dark plastic goggles over my eyes for the duration of the treatment. . I was nervous after taking care of everything so to try and numb the area, so I’m sure the process must be painful. I had been growing up for years and hoped that there was no way I could hurt myself as much as that. I have also read various accounts of the laser hair removal process online, the amount of pain people describe during laser hair removal and all ends of the spectrum are disconnected.
I was pleasantly surprised by that. The laser hair removal procedure did not hurt me at all. Nothing compared to bikini growth, which is not very bothersome to me (I use MOOM, which is a great growth product that I highly recommend). When the laser zaps you it lightly stings for 1 second and then the sting is gone. Apogee laser hair removal machine has these 2 parts. One blows cold air into you, the other is a laser. The doctor is very generous with the cold air and seemed to be an expert in the laser hair removal process, which made some difference.
Time passes quickly during laser hair removal treatment. The nurse held her hand calmly, and I took up the songs myself. Next time I think I should bring my ownMP3 player. Through the treatment i could faintly burn I could smell the hair, the sound was from the fan blowing cold air and the lamps were red light and the noise was clicking every time the doctor zapped me. Sometimes the doctor crossed some areas, not all, a second and this is a little more stingy, but it is absolutely worth it if this really works.
At the end of the laser hair removal treatment, my pubic area was easily in pink in color. The nurse went down the floor again for 5-10 minutes and indicated that if I had pain at home, I would have to repeat the process as many times as I needed. I put on pants, an appointment for 6 weeks (the doctor said that the treatments should be done every 6-8 weeks. I went out, bought a beer and took myself from I took Indian food. I thought it might be irritating to walk around with my pants rubbing on the area that just underwent laser hair removal but it wasn’t.
The laser hair removal treatment, including the consultation, took 1 hour and 45 minutes. After 3.5 hours I went home and the redness was gone. There was no pain. I put aloe gel on the area where the laser hair removal treatment (all natural, no fragrance) was just nice to my skin, but it probably wasn’t necessary.
If laser hair removal really works, this is even more amazing to happen to women because it gave birth to the vote and the government.
Day 1-7 After treatment: No redness, no swelling, no itching. After laser hair removal treatment , although the hair follicle has died, the hair continues to grow a little. I thought it would be due to the itch of the mind, as that which usually happens when all the pubic hair is shaved off and grows back. It wasn’t feeling scratchy. Although your head can easily start pulling with your fingernails. This is not the same as pulling or growing hair. , which your dermatologist has instructed you not to do. You can simply pull the hair and it will fall out.
