Start with unfinished wood blocks found at a craft or thrift store, and you’ll have so many beautiful ornaments for your home, but you’ll want to make more! That’s why wood log ornaments are so fun and so easy to make. Make each a holiday statue, or make a casual bathroom or kitchen.
The wooden blocks in the bag come in various shapes and sizes. They are imperfect, so they cost less than buying replacement blocks. The type of purchase that stands tall enough on its own.
They use scraps of paper, pieces of fabric, paint, glitter glue, letters, numbers, and cutouts to make decorative trunks. Use four blocks, all about the same size and shape, and spell out “BATH”, placing one letter on each block. Large booklets will do nicely. Before adding the stickers, paint or cover the blocks on the fabric. Now you can glue miniature soaps, tubs, mini towels and other things to decorate the top blocks.

Use Scrabble letters for a completely different look. Simply paste each letter into its own block, then explain what you want. Alternatively, use large and decorative booklets for a butterfly scene that has no words, but beautiful pictures.
You can set up decorative posts for any special event, occasion or holiday. Cover the fronts of the shutters with holiday fabric, then add letters for “Holidays,” “Christmas,” “Happy Easter,” or other words. Decorate with small bells, bunnies, candy canes, candy corn, or other ideas.

Make the blogs closed and give them families or family members. They are perfect, one-of-a-kind gifts that are thoughtful and unique. Then make your home. Make a list of each holiday, then only change them when each new occasion approaches.
You don’t need to buy unfinished wooden blocks for this craft. Sometimes you can find wooden blocks at yard sales or flea markets that work well. Lincoln Log logs will not work, nor will plastic logs with pin tops that snap together. The wooden blocks should be of any shape or size. You’ll have a lot of fun with this craft as you use your imagination to create all the arrangements of the shelf or mantle.
