Online Book Swap for Reading Lovers

Book lovers will be delighted to discover that they can read all the books – for free! Instead of letting books you’ve read sit on a dusty shelf, or selling them before yard sales, you can trade them for books you want. Ingenious! One site where you can participate in a book swap is found at www.paperbackswap.com

Join the website for free and list nine or more books that you have for trade. Codes must be in good condition with no torn or stained pages. For maximum success you will have to list as many books as possible. In listing at least nine, three “credits” will be given. Credits can be used to order books from other people. Simply browse the books on their site and choose the three you want.

You do not have to order all three books at once. Maybe you love to read, but don’t have much time to devote to sports. Order one book and wait until you are almost finished reading it before making the next selection. Choosing a book from another member will deliver it straight to your door.

Although there is no fee to participate online, the person whose book ordered is the one who is responsible for mailing the book. So when someone chooses one of your nine books that you have listed, you must send the book to them at your expense. This cost is minimal if you request “media mail” post office.

After you’ve listed nine trade books with three credits to publish, you’ll then be given an additional credit for each book you rewrite. The person receiving the book for the credit account must come in your name. And when you ask for a book, that member is responsible for the tax, which you also break.

Don’t really go to the post office if you don’t want to be bothered. Simply print a card from your home printer that states the person’s name and address, along with the amount of tax actually owed. Put a book on your bike for the mailman to read and you’ve done your job.

There are over a quarter of a million books that I take from and that number is growing every day. Invite friends and family, reviews posted by those who have read the book, or just drop from the site and chat in the chat room with other book fanatics. What a great way to consider book tips.
