The kids are out in the summer, it’s too hot to go outside. You have to come up with some way to keep the kids occupied and you don’t want to be placed in front of the television for the summer. Time to get delivery.
A windbreaker can bring a lot of joy as you watch it dance in the wind. Here is an easy and affordable craft your kids be careful can do to create their own vappa.
Items you will need:
Construction paper (at least two papers)
Crepe paper (seen on stream parts)
String
Gluten
Scissors
Markers
Start by choosing the construction paper that will be the body of your butterflies. If you want to decorate your body now is the best time. Add eyes, a mouth, feet, or dozens. Once the paper is rolled into a cylinder and the two short edges are glued together to roll as you wish. If you have good pins, you can pin the edges together and not hold them until they dry.
On the second piece of paper, draw two ovals large enough to be the wings of your butterfly. Here is a great opportunity to unleash your child’s creativity by asking how they would like their wings to look. They can choose two second wings of smaller wings, which will be the lowest wings. Or they may want to use multi-colored construction paper and cut out smaller ovals to place large original eggs inside, creating multiple colors of wings.
If you have multiple layers of your wings, glue those layers in place first. When ready you can glue the ovals to the back seam area of the cylinder body.
Next, you will need to cut out two edges to be the antennae of the butterfly. These are long, but not thick. You can develop these a bit if you want to give them some character and individuality. Attach these two ties to the top front of your butterfly with glue. On each side of your butterfly, near the top, two iron holes to run a string to hang your winder when you are done. Roll out the crepe paper to the desired length for one nail to hang from your butterfly. Repeat as many times as you want your butterfly arms to hang. Attach the straps to these with glue and allow the entire art to dry.
Now you have a personal winder to hang and watch the police dance in the wind. These will not be very durable because they are made of paper so if you hang them outside you may need another day craft after a good rain . You can also consider these windows hanging on the way air conditioner or fan. That will give you the same thing, with less damage to the elements.
