Attention all Lakeview commuters: starting this month, you will no longer wait impatiently, press the time on your watch or cell every few minutes, lean over a series of tracks hoping to see headlights, or cohabitate in the bitter cold (or control the humidity.) what feels like forever, in one of Chicago’s busiest “L” platform. No, not every Lakeview ‘L’ rider will receive a new car — Oprah went baby, remember?
But what Lakeview commuters and all commuters across Chicago will receive is access to the CTA’s new Train Tracker.
According to the official Chicago CTA website, customers using desktop computers or mobile Internet devices, such as iPhones, BlackBerries or smartphones, Estimated arrival times will be available for approaching trains on all eight lines. Advent times will refresh every 30 seconds. Train Tracker will be launched via a dedicated website, so check out Associated Content for Yahoo! or simply check out the official CTA website at http://www.transitchicago.com.
