Harry Potter Spell Dueling Party Game

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be released soon, they will give you a great idea for a Harry Potter themed birthday party, or a Halloween event or just a movie party. Test your guests’ knowledge of Harry Potter by re-creating the duels from the books. This game Harry Potter works well with children and adults, but it should be used they can with younger children who are so familiar with books.

Harry Potter themed pencils or narrow wooden backs for different magic for this game . Then divide the guests into teams of three or four. Choose two teams to duel each other. Give Team B five spellcasters and give Team B a shield match. Then Team B gives five spears with different spells and Team A matches the shield for Team B’s spears. Be careful not to look at the team chant or targets before the game starts. You may want to add a few targets that are not linked together to make the game more difficult.

Flip which side is ahead. Give each team 10 seconds to look at the spells and targets. That team chooses a magic trick, shows it to the other team, and shouts out. The other team has 10 seconds to choose a target that matches the spell. they hold the shield, and if the judge judges correctly. If they choose an odd target, the first team gets a point. If they choose the right shield, the other team gives in to a magic spell. Turns alternately until all spells are cast. The team with the most points wins!

For a different version, connect small pairs of sticks and targets. When the judge says to go, each team has to place its runners and shields in front of the next team. Make sure you have all the definitions handy in case you forget what spells mean and want authoritative proof.
