Cheap Birthday Party Favors for Boys

Balloons: Everyone is used to blowing up balloons at a party but handing out uninflated party favors is something every school age child loves. You can get a bag of balloons in various shapes, sizes and colors. Check your local discount stores and dollar stores and make sure to look in the craft section or the toy section. Balloons in those sections are usually cheaper than fish in the party section. Shop around and you’ll find dozens of party favors for party favors for a letter of cash!

Printed prompts: These party favors are the easiest you can get and almost FREE! Just print some age appropriate crossword puzzles, word search puzzles, painful stings, slips, etc. You can find many sites online that offer free printable puzzles for kids. Some good sources are kidprintables.com or printactivities.com or just do a search for “free puzzles” and sources you will find wealth. Just print them on colored paper (the old white is too flat!) and you have some very cheap party favors... as many as you need! If you want to save on the cost of printing paper and ink you can try fitting 4 puzzles on one page. Kids always love puzzles and they are educational too!

Suacks: Kids love snacks. Their parents will appreciate the snacks too! Put your thinking cap on and look for items you can buy in packages such as juice boxes, wrapped crackers and cheese, cupcakes, jello a cup, a large portion of boxes of raisins, individual fruit cups, etc. This party favors that they cost anywhere from 25 to 50 cents each, but they can be the “big tip” of a party!

Candy: If you’re really on a tight budget, you can look for bags of individual cups or wrapped gummies. It’s a great time to buy right after the holidays when there’s a lot half price. Children don’t mind if they get Halloween candy for the month of November birthday. In fact, they’ll get a kick out of it!

Money: Children love money! You can hand over pennies, nickels, or dimes…whatever you can afford. You can make a joke by putting coins in the bag and pick only one winner of the game. Then they will announce to everyone a year in cash. It’s just fun to do. They will love it!

Functions are all about fun. boys of all ages will appreciate any favors you hand over. Never think it’s too silly to give a party. I threw lots of parties for my son for every occasion and even teenagers get a kick out of fish and candy and such. I don’t think they really grow!
