When I first saw it, I knew I loved it. The Keurig Coffee Maker was just what I was looking for. Gourmet coffee served one cup at a time. For someone who doesn’t drink a lot of coffee, it seemed like a great buy. But I quickly discovered its variety. While the Keurig Coffee Maker may seem like the perfect fit, there are a few things you should know. Here are a few of the pros and cons of the Keurig Coffee Maker.
Dear
First, the Keurig Coffee Maker is an expensive device ranging in price from $99 for the mini to $189 for the platinum plus model. There are several coffee mugs on the market that can be purchased below that price. In fact, I now own a Black and Decker Single-Cup Coffee Maker that costs around $15. Ignore, let’s say you’re a machine anyway. You should also know that coffee is also expensive. A Pack of 50 K-cups will set you back around $30 or $0.60 per cup.
Flexible
While K-cups are expensive, you can buy a reusable K-Cup so you can fill your own coffee machine at a much more affordable price. Reusable K-cups can be purchased for less than $20. In another way, the machine is flexible so you can make coffee, hot chocolate, tea and even apple cider on the machine. This allows the whole family to enjoy the Keurig.
Bulky
Keurig Coffee Makers are very heavy. Before I sold mine, I kept looking at it thinking it took up too much space on the counter. Preparing a single cup is ridiculously taking up more space than a traditional coffee maker. However, the device houses a water tank to prevent the need to add water every time. Still, this baby takes up a lot of valuable counter space.
Fun
Okay, I’ll admit, I have a Keurig machine around. It’s nice to have a different flavor of coffee every morning or a cup of hot chocolate at night. It is also great for entertaining when you have several guests, because everyone wants something different.
Slow
One final complaint I have about the Keurig Coffee maker is that it is slow. It takes 4 minutes for the machine to be ready for the first cup. The company claims that once the brewing process is ready, it will take less time to mix the ingredients of the cups. . Is he complaining? The whole point of a single cup maker is to make one cup, not additional cups. Who wants to wait 4 minutes before even starting to brew? Traditional coffee makers start brewing right away.
A Keurig Coffee Maker may be good for you, but carefully consider these pros and cons before investing in such an expensive appliance. Otherwise, you’ll end up with an expensive paperweight that just takes up too much space.
