Hector Elizondo was one of America’s most versatile and beloved character actors of the 70s. Elizondo, born in New York City, has appeared in successful TV series and films and has received numerous awards and nominations for his work, including an Emmy and SAG Award nomination. Here is a quick and general review of some of Hector Elizondo’s great performances.
Hector Elizondo roles: Personal Favorites.
I’m a big fan of Hector Elizondo and I can point to a few parts that really won me over.
First, here is a memorable and well-regarded TV role, Dr. Phillip Watters in Chicago Hope. Elizondo won an Emmy and several nominations playing this chief of staff, who often scorns his own emotions to deal with his teachers, such as the mercurial Jeffrey Geiger (Mandy Patinkin) and the emotionally needy Alan “The Eel” Birch (Peter Macnicol). The show kind of broke down over the years, loading Watters with various tricks a week (here he plays guitar, here he dances, here he stands-up) and, messing with the middle trope, the widow was struck with grief (Oh, no, wait, he was with another sick woman …). But you can’t blame the actor.
Elizondo is also known for being in 14 Gary Marshall films. Among these, Pretty Woman is the most famous and financially successful. The film stars Barney, a city concierge who helps Julia Roberts get rid of a prostitute. Good movie, but I don’t care much. Instead, I want the Flamingo Kid. Here, Matt Dillon (late Crash) is a working class kid who learns that he can make big lions playing cabana boy and protégé to the team coach by Richard Crenna playing the merchant. This is a nice coming of age movie set in the early 60s. Mr. Elizondo plays Dillon’s father, a plumber who disapproves of his son who tries to follow Crenna’s example. There is no great store, my author’s time. Among all the films Elizondo has done with Gary Marshall, I think that is probably the best of all the films and Elizondo’s best role.
I also really like Elizondo in the movie Samantha which is also called the coming movie, although much better. Martha Plimpton learns she’s adopted and rebels against her parents in some pretty kooky ways while trying to find her “real” self. parents His father is Elizondo. There is no real story, just the author in time, and the story in him. It’s a pretty school.
There’s a funny little B-movie called Necessary Roughness where Elizondo plays Coach Ed Gennaro, a “straight arrow” who has scrub football team at Texas college Robert Loggia and Scott Bakula are also in the film. Major League It’s not big, but it’s fun, as I said. And Elizondo plays one of those guys that you really hope coaches in the NCAA.
Another Good Hector Elizondo Movies:
Tortilla Soup: This is a cute and entertaining movie where Elizondo acts as a widower with his three grown daughters, their love lives, and his love life. He is a cook, and the food belongs to the use of his family, and the matter is somewhat connected. Mauris and Mauris.
Acceptance Pelham 1, 2, 3: This movie is something of a classic. Elizondo joins Robert Shaw and Martin Balsam among others at the top of the jacking train. Walter Matthau tries to stop the cop ace. They are also looking forward to the septuagenarian sitcom Jerry Stiller and Doris Roberts in the young days.
That’s where the neighborhood comes in: I guess I define what I mean by “good” movies. This multi-episode sitcom-ish flick won’t win the Oscars, but it’s funny compared to Elizondo, Jeff Daniels, Catherine O’Hara, Chaz Palmineteri, Jonathan Banks, Rhea Perlman (Cheers), Dabney Coleman, Jonathan Banks (Wiseguy) and Jeremy Piven. All were exhausted by the buried loot in the foundation of the building. Madcap is small. I think it’s funny.
Other Other Gary Marshall Movies Starring Hector Elizondo:
Exit To Eden: This Is That Island movie stars Dana Delaney is really bad. I think Elizondo is playing some kind of doctor. I have only seen bits and pieces, because at the same time I change the shape of what the film is. From the book by Anne Rice. That’s an old spot. The movie bombed. Given the Razzies. Let’s just move on.

The Other Sister: Juliette Lewis and John Ribisi are a slow-witted couple who juggle family and sex and fall in love in this war that goes wrong Romance comedy. Diane Keaton and Tom Skerrit are her parents while Elizondo is taking care of Ribisi. Elizondo sings ‘Finally’, but the character is basically a “cool guy in a beret”.
Runaway Bride: The long-awaited remake of Julia Roberts and Richard Gere Gere follows the story of the commitment-phobic Robert. character Elizondo is his editor, or something. There is one scene where he rolls around on the floor. His onscreen wife is Tom Hanks’ real life wife. It did well at the box office, but I personally found this movie a big time ot.
Princess Diaries & Prince Diaries: Return of the Bet:
Hector Elizondo does the “cool guy” thing again as his mentor Julie Andrews’ granddaughter ascends to the throne of some country. He does the same dance with Andr.
Raising Helen: I’d love to tell you who plays in this movie, but I swear to God, I don’t know. Kate Hudson stars as a madcap girl who must become a mom to her niece and nephew.
The parts where Hector Elizondo throws down with accents:
Mr. Elizondo reports that he is reportedly of Puerto Rican and Basque extraction and was born in NYC, but sports various Spanish accents. He shows the abundance of others in his life. For example, in the Marshall Frankie & Johnny: ‘Elizondo’ is a Greek restaurant owner who gives Al Pacino an emotional ex-con job.
Later in another film Marshal, Dear God, Elizondo plays a postal worker owner who is some kind of Russian-y guy . That doesn’t make the movie any less cheesy, but there you are. Greg Kinnear is a guy doing some community service (no pun intended) at post office, where he leads a group of workers to Answering God’s email.
He plays Renault in the TV series Casablanca. I’m not sure if he uses a French accent, but why not?
Hector Elizondo also plays Latin characters in Cuba with Sean Connery. I never saw him. I saw Valdez come with Burt Lancaster. It’s a good movie, wait, even if Lancaster, who has the leading role, has an English language like Hans Christen Anderson. (What is?).
And besides, Hearts has also been borrowed: Elizondo plays a Mexican accent here about an angel who visits, ironically, Roma Downey and her kid and Eric McCormick. It’s all about not selling your employees on the grass and ice skating. This is the real meaning of Christmas, people.
Hector Elizondo: Cop
Mr. Elizondo has played a cop in many movies, perhaps most famously American Gigolo, which cast his future most beautiful woman and the runaway bride of co-star Richard Gere in the title role. His other roles include his role as “The Bean” in the series version of Freebie and The Bean (briefly), his role in Beverly Hills Cop 3, and his roles in The Fan (not one with Wesley Snipes) and Turbulence, which starred Ray Liotta as a psycho doomed to destroy a plane with the only flight attendant to stop it, played by Lauren Holly. Elizondo has played cops in many TV movies.
Hector Elizondo: Car
Hector Elizondo goes around the world animated. He has done voice work on everything from The Justice League to Aladdin, to Scooby-Doo, Gargoyles, and Animaniacs. It’s all over the place. Also a role, notably, in the animated show Fish Police. What the heck?
Hector Elizondo: Guest star
Mr. Elizondo has made billions of guest appearances. Like Phillip Watter crossed over to two other shows – EarlyEdition and Kelley Picket Fence. He has also been a guest on classics such as Hill Street Blues, All In The Family, Columbus and more recently, The West Wing and Without A Trace
Hector Elizondo Series that didn’t do enough:
Mr. Elizondo is often cast in regular roles in TV series as well. Unfortunately I didn’t catch all the shows. He pointed out that he did not include the space recently in Century City, where Elizondo played as a lawyer in the future, but a little in the future, which made things interesting. It’s really kind of stinky that they’re showing off. Miracles also feel sci-fi. the priest Elizondo acted, admonishing the guy who was investigating miracles. Also Kate Brasher, with Mary Stuart Masterson, Foley Square with Margaret Colin and Popi, one dad received the role from Alan Arkin who played it in the film. Elizondo later starred with Adam Arkin’s son in Chicago Hope.
Hector Elizondo on stage
It should also be noted that Mr. Elizondo is a versatile actor. Obie Award and appeared in theater productions throughout his career including Broadway roles.. Founding member of LA Opera Theater, a radio theater company.
