A New Way to Exercise – Virtual Walk DVD’s

A few months ago I was looking for a new way to exercise. I loved my treadmill, but even with a loud song ringing in my ears, every minute seemed like an hour. I thought there was something that could make the whole thing better. I thought then about those expensive machines in some circles that allow you to ride a bike and watch it on the screen. Like pedaling faster it seems like it’s actually moving on the screen in a road or other setting. This whole experience makes the exercise interactive and takes your mind off the boredom of being in one place for so long.

After a few searches on the net, I found what I was looking for. They are called virtual walkthrough DVDs. Filmed with a state of the art camera that seems to slide across the scene, this DVD is of excellent quality and cinematography. beautiful places all over the world. After quickly ordering a few newspapers, they arrived about a week later.

I have selected eight videos filmed in Italy and England. He popped up in the first video for “Morning in Venice” and jumped on the treadmill. The cameraman is invisible to the viewer, but captures every aspect of the Blues. You hear people speaking Italian and see the shop owners preparing their business for the day. You discover narrow streets and pass strangers who greet you with care. As you pass the canals with boats swimming by you wonder how there is such a place where time seems to stand still.

Other videos: “English Countryside” This is a great walk filled with green, rolling hills, “Amalfi Excursion” and “London Waterways”. One of the best videos is called “Four Seasons”. This hour long walk takes the viewer through the wooded area around the lake as winter, spring, summer and fall come and go. The trees are bare, the leaves grow, and then the leaves turn brown, all within the space of an hour.

Each video is 30 to 60 minutes long and includes a documentary section about the area being filmed. These DVDs are great for anyone who wants to lose track of time or anyone who wants to see these truly magnificent places. They are about $15 a piece and can be found on eBay or by clicking on the following page.
