A Review of First Premier Credit Card

I admit I was a little hesitant to apply for this card after reading all the negative posts I got about it. Again this card shows up on the top shelves but I remember having this card about ten years ago (before my credit went south) and I don’t recall having a negative experience with them. When I was trying to find a way to build my credit and I knew that this was a design card people like me in advance application.

I found their online site and went through the application process as usual. Question after question, I came nearer to the end, and I was more and more anxious that what I read should be true, or should be denied. I wished for neither of these results. The deadline for the application finally came and instead of getting an immediate response, I received a notice saying that more information had to be obtained, and that I would hear a response in 7 to 10 days (which in most cases means that I will be denied; for the paper).

A few days later, while I was at work, they called. After they verified my experience with my boss, I felt a little better about my response from them. After about 10 days, my letter finally arrived. Before I opened it, I could feel the shape of the paper inside. My heart almost jumped out of my chest! This is the first time I have had a credit card in ten years. For me, it means closing the story of faith and starting a positive case.

My boyfriend looked at the paperwork and immediately told me that the card was a scam. “How could they send you a paper that is almost maxed out?” he says Well, I knew what I was going to do before I received the paper, so I was fully aware of all the charges (which someone claimed they never knew I read in one of those negatives). I answered him by telling him that I believed it to be a lie to some good man, but to someone like me, who is at the bottom of the barrel of faith, not so bad a lot. There are also many charges that come with the card, but for me, it’s a price I want to pay to get some positive credit again.

For anyone who doesn’t know what paper bills are included, I’ll give them to you. Now you can’t say you didn’t feel the crime was attached. First, there is a proposed fee of $95.00. As with most any card, there is a system fee. This card is $29.00. There is also a monthly fee of $7.00. Finally, they charge an annual fee on the first bill which is $48.00 (but this will get you through the following year). Now the program fee and the system setup fee are not re-issued as these are one time fees. Of course the annual fee will occur again around the following year, and the monthly fee will show up on each bill. You need to know the monthly fee so you don’t go over your limit. I can also tell you that my personal APR is lower than any other card I’ve had, but I’m sure this changes from person to person.

This card also gives you the ability to monitor the account online. When you register (and pay a one-time $3.00 fee that’s charged to your card) you’re given 24/7 access to your account. Orders usually show up on the same day as you use the card, so your available credit balance is typically accurate when you use them. you consider Since you have online access, you can also make payments as often as you want (although receiving payment by phone and mail is also accepted).

I’ve had this card for a while now and haven’t run into any problems. So I can say that I have not run into any of the issues that I have read. Like any other credit card, you won’t run into problems unless you use your card carelessly. Just be aware that the fees are steep. If you have a good credit and better card, by all means do it. However, if this card is a “last chance”, this will be your best offer.
