Ovid:
Lazy Radio is one of the most popular streaming music apps on the Google Play Network and the Apple App Store. This app allows you to listen to music streaming-music”>or/a> on any Android or Apple device and on PC anywhere as long as you have a Wi-Fi or data connection. I’ve only used it since Slacker’s biggest challenger… Pandora can’t even come close. Radio stations radio stations radio has over 200 presets, including live ESPN stations for sports news there (you have to have one pay to listen plan to ESPN though). Almost every song, group and album can be found on Slower Radio they can and are heard when you want them.
Interface and Options:
The interfaces and screens are very user friendly, with any given song you have easy access to the back, play, pause, and ban buttons. The ban button allows you to move the currently playing artist or the currently playing song. The hand is very similar to the artist, but not to the specific song. The current album cover is also shown on the main screen, by checking the bios link on the screen; I review the current album and show you the lyrics of the song. Most of this information is accurate, but in a few instances no information is available.
When listening to a station at the top right of your screen, there is an image that will give you the option to customize the station, turning on/off DJ, or ‘fine tuning’ days, popularity, and many other choices. This gives you the ability to customize your posts.
At the top of the main screen is the Home icon, there you can see lists of available stations and games to play. Here you can also search for a song, album, or artist. All the pre-made radio stations are sorted by the type of station you want to find easily. All your custom stations and game maps (if you have an upgraded version) can be found here as well.
There is also a ‘Cache’ option to save stories, posts and albums to your mobile devices. You can choose what you want in your planning plan and have it with you to listen to even if there is no signal, I travel a lot and having my stations and playlists saved to my phone has made long journeys much more comfortable. Because of this ability, I don’t need to download an MP3 player or buy music to my phone or tablet.
Pros and Cons of Signs:
Pros:
- I would love to hear your backyard choices.
- Great audio quality.
- Detailed Artist, Album, Song information.
- Can you take it with you anywhere.
- Station/Play List Caching.
Cons:
- Other artists weigh rarer things. (No Henry Rollins Band!
- Due to copyright and other legal restrictions, some artists cannot be searched and placed on playlists (Example: You cannot select a metal song to be placed on a playlist.)
- The app forcefully closes/crashes on all three devices I use the app on (Droid Bionic, PC, and Samsung Galaxy).
Free paid versions vs. Versions:
Signis has three paid/free versions of the app. The Plus and Premium versions are $3.99 and $9.99 per month respectively. It can be the crime of killing your cell phone carrier. Both paid versions are Ad Free and come with ESPN and ABC News stations. With the paid versions you can dance the song indefinitely, when you have the free version it dances for 5 hours. The premium version allows you to choose songs and an album on demand and even create your own playlists.
Final thoughts:
To date, I would say that Slacker Radio is the best streaming music available. It has minor bugs like most apps these days, but Slacker offers a lot more customization than other apps. While it would be nice to have a free sign, I think the prices are quite reasonable, especially if you listen to music< /a> a lot of the day. It also comes in handy if you listen to more different genres and enjoy discovering new artists and songs. If the bugs that cause Slack to run hard and force close were resolved then Radio Slack would be perfect. Totally from Radio 9.7 out of 10. Rock on!
