I bought this eye makeup removing gel because I realized that my face cleanser doesn’t remove my eye makeup, especially my mascara, easily. So that everything can be undermined, I would wash my face about 3 times, and I would use a little more pressure than I usually do, and I would still wake up more time with my eyes washed, because all the mascara has not been removed.
I knew it would dry out and irritate the delicate skin that makes up the eyelid so I decided to invest in an eye makeup remover. We found Almay Eye Makeup Remover Gel and bought it because the bottle claimed that Almay was America’s Number 1 Eye Makeup Remover Brand (which I later realized probably had nothing to do with this product, but removing the total amount of eye makeup combined). would be.
I used the Almay Eye Makeup Remover Gel a few days later, and I realized that it’s not a gel at all, it’s basically grease in a tube. If you use a small amount of it, it feels light enough to be mistaken for a gel, but if you need to remove the eye you should at least do it from it, and then you will know that it is an oil.
I found everything about this Almay product to be inconvenient, even though the main purpose is to make life a little easier. First of all, although the tube is relatively small, the hole that the gel comes out of is so small and the gel is so thick that it takes forever and a lot of effort to get it out of the tube. After it finally comes off, I actually have to slather my coats with the gel to moisten my lashes enough to remove the eye makeup, especially the mascara.
The tube says that it should be applied over the eyelids and lashes and then washed off with water. I have to say that after massaging the gel on my eyelids I could see that the mascara and other eye make-up was essentially removed, but the gel is not washed off with water because it is full of mineral oil, just water. it will slip away.
If I had just used water on my face, an oily mess, an oily mess, as a cleanser to wash it off. I thought it would be, but the Almay Eye Makeup Remover gel is more difficult to remove than just makeup, since it’s so greasy it’s a lot of cleansing and trying to break down the oil and makeup in reality. So I was essentially a back to square one. I would cleanse my face twice to get the most out of it.
The only thing that Almay helped me do was keep my skin moisturized as long as I cleansed as usual. . But besides that I would make the task of removing my eyes even more difficult because of all the perfume, and I would still wake up the next day with muddy eyes.
I gave in on this product a little while ago and I don’t think I’d recommend it to anyone as it deserves 5 stars. Rather, I would recommend saving your money and only using Vaseline to remove your eye makeup because it is thinner and easier to apply and remove. Or recommend buying Almay Makeup Removal Towelettes (which is so much better than eye gel).
