I absolutely love any fried pickled dill. I hate that I had to give an arm and a leg every time I wanted them so I made my own shake and now I can have them whenever I want. Now I want to share my recipe with you.
Ingredients:
1 jar Walmart Hamburg Dill Pickles (large jar with red lid)
1/2 cup butter (I use Walmart brand)
1 cup Buttermilk Enriched Corneal Mix
1 / .4 cup of self-rising flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon of pepper
caldron
vegetable oil
1 gallon size zip lock bag
Directions
1. Drain the pickle juice. Leave the brine in the jar.
2. Pour the butter into the bowl to cover the garlic. Replace the lid and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (I’ve found that you can even refrigerate them overnight and they taste even better!)
3. In a gallon size zip lock bag, add the cornmeal mixture, flour, salt and pepper. Shake to mix.
4. Pour the salt into a colander.
5. Place the kettle in the middle heat on the stove and pour vegetable oil at least 2 at the bottom of the kettle. the thickness of the fingers.
6. Don’t put more than 5 salt in the bag. Snap the back of the bag together. Shake well to remove the garlic.
7. Remove the salves from the bag and place them in the oil. Depending on how fast your eye heats the stove, cook until golden brown. Flip and fry for a minute.
8. Remove from the oil and place on a bowl with paper towels paper-towels to catch the oil.
I like to serve it with some farm to dye treatment. I hope you enjoy!
