Anita Blake on Televison

Laurell K. Hamilton released the news in early April that she will be part of a television movie based on the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series. Anita Blake is finally coming back to life before our eyes on television. IFC, Lionsgate, and Dark Films have partnered to bring the first full-length original film to IFC.

The producers who brought us movies and shows like Final Destination and The X-Files are part of the team at Anita Blake and the rest of the living pack. It aired sometime in the summer of 2010 on IFC. There has been much discussion about Laurell K. Hamilton bringing her Anita Blake series to life either in a television series or a movie.

Many fans have speculated for some time as to if and when the book series would become a movie or television series. With this conversation, there are many websites, blogs, and even Youtube-videos or compilations of fans that have some opinions. the actor will play a large part as a certain character. From many inquiries it appears that many have a different opinion of who would play Anita Blake. Anita Blake is a engaged, petite, curly woman who never stops pinning you down and lifting you up. Everyone has a different opinion on who actor for a certain character they think will be the best, some people. Angelina Jolie thinks Anita Blake can do justice to her bad-ass attitude in the Tomb Raider movies. I always thought of Anita as the very carbon copy of Laurell K. Hamilton.

For those who don’t know who Anita Blake is, she is a vampire slayer, an animator (who raises the dead), and helps with a paranormal police team to solve crimes. Although many have more than likely ventured into Laurell K. Hamilton’s world of vampires and there are still some werewolves. read books such as Twilight. However, Anita is not like any of the characters in Twilight. Anita love life is a total mess sometimes and when you think everything is controlled and organized, life throws you. the curveball ends up either inkidnapped or someone tries to kill her.

I anxiously await the television movie and even download if my television channel provider had IFC. I am saved. Although I can be excited for some fans who are worried that the movie won’t do the books the justice they deserve, while other fans are worried about the amount of erotica. I think I could have explored with Laurell K.
