The movie Poltergeist terrorizes us with a hapless clown who leaps to life and attacks a young man from his bed one cloudy evening. A Children’s Tale introduced us to Chucky, an evil doll trying to possess a human soul. These are just two examples of Hollywood-inspired horror flicks that have struck a chord in our psyche and feed our terrifying fascination with the supernatural, designed specifically for entertainment purposes. And the story of Annabell, the Raggedy Anndoll, was nothing more than the delight of two young nursing students and their friend who feared this purportedly life real doll
Ed and Lorraine Warren paranormal-investigators specializing in demonology. The case of Annabelle, the haunted doll, was one of the most famous documentary investigations of the early 1970s. The doll has since been locked away in a glass case at Connecticut’s Warren Occult Museum in an attempt to prevent it from harming other unsuspecting potential victims.
Annabelle’s story started well, but turned into something far sinister. A Raggedy Ann doll was given as a novelty birthday gift by a mother to a young college-aged daughter who used to be terrified of real life. Donna had attended nursing school and at the time was sharing a classmate named malis. of Angie. Neither of the girls had any idea what was in store for them when Annabell entered their lives.
Within a few days of introducing Annabell into their home, the two young women began to observe strange occurrences that defied logic. The doll’s creepy aura was not lost on them as they tried to understand what was going on around them. When they returned to the apartment they noticed that the doll was not in the same place as they had left. That’s how it started.
The new experience quickly began to escalate. The women reported that the doll was passed out in odd positions, standing against the chair or sitting with its legs and arms in a different position when they returned home. They became very confused when they noticed parchments different, or similar to each other, with new writings on them that the child would make. There were complaints that the rites would say things like ‘Help us’ or ‘Help Lou’.
A strange, inexplicable experiment that scares the soul out of most people doesn’t seem to elicit the same response from two student nurses. That is, until one very frightening day. At that moment, Donna returned home to discover Annabell sitting up in bed with drops of blood appearing on her chest and the back of her hands. It had been the last straw. At that point it was very clear to Donna that she should seek professional help and thus bring herself to the medium.
He cut it in half and concluded that the spirit residing in the doll was seven years old. an old girl named Annabell. According to the medium, the girl had once been built in a good house and suffered a tragic death in the forest area around the building. The nature of that death seems to be mysteriously hidden. This was a revelation of how the occupying doll was girls who met the miserable fate of the young women. They decided to invite the spirit to stay and allow the doll to live. According to Ed and Lorraine Warren, who later joined the investigation, it was one of the biggest mistakes.
One of the women had a family member named Lou who visited with them often in the room. She had expressed her annoyance and discomfort with Annabell’s doll from the beginning. His experience with Annabell would surely be the most terrifying of all. Every time Lou stayed at the apartment, he found himself relapsing into dreams that he was convinced were not dreams at all. The vivid nature of his dreams had convinced him that the doll was evil, and that seeking him would do him great evil. He openly expressed this concern with the girls.
Then it happened unexpectedly one day. Lou and Angie were preparing for the trip. Strange sounds emanating from other parts of the room immediately caught his attention. Their horrible intruder was lurking around Lou’s apartment to check on him. Entering Donna’s room, she found the doll lying on the floor in the corner of the room. But as he turned, fearing someone behind him, Lou was suddenly struck with a great pain that tore into his chest. The blood began to seep through the shirt, and when it was removed, they say that seven marks of bloody claws were driven into the flesh of the breast.
Afraid that Lou and Donna would be hunted by a not-so-benevolent demon, they decided to contact the pontiff in the name of Hegan’s father. Father Hegan gave the case to Ed and Lorraine Warren. After his investigation, the Warrens concluded that he had become a spirit doll and was looking to have a human host. A ritual was performed to bless the house and to take away the spirit. As a precaution, the Warrens took Annabell with them to prevent the trio from causing any further problems.
The Warrens themselves describe the superstitious behavior of the doll. They deny that their car was experiencing serious mechanical trouble in a near-mechanic disaster. The brakes would fail, they would stop at the most dangerous moments, and the
