Julian, California is located an hour east of San Diego in the Cuyamaca Mountains. Once a city of gold rushes, now a city full of shops and historic buildings. In 1907, Julian Apple won eight gold medals at the Jacobopolis Exposition in Virginia. In celebration of the town, the commemoration of the importance of this work is by creating a cause festival, which they called Apple Day. It quickly became an annual event. This year, 2009, will be the Centennial Application Day Festival.
Julian is known throughout southern California for its noble apple pies that can be purchased year-round and are a special treat. Julia’s Candy Store also carries some of the sweetest apple candy with dark dark chocolate, white chocolate, almond and events that this year are held on October 4th and October 4th. Julian is a lovely town to visit and the holidays are a terrific way to spend the weekend. Whether you will enjoy the daily melodramas available during September and October, you will enjoy the festivities, or in the caramel apple caramel or take the pie home, it will be time well-done. And, as we all know, bad treats are not only enjoyable, but also keep the doctor healthy—a bad day! But don’t stop. Go to this beautiful mountain town and enjoy a day of celebration and fun.
