Best Movie Theaters in Yuba City, CA

It’s time to take a trip to the movies! Question is which theater do you go to? Well, in most cities you have a few options within your local area. Unfortunately Yuba City, CA doesn’t have many options unless you want to drive for an hour to the surrounding areas. Today, I will review the theaters in the local Yuba City area and some of those in the surrounding cities.

Yuba City just got a newly rebuilt theater to replace our old one and it is also one of the two within Yuba City. The Cinemark Theater is located on 1410 Whyler Road. Seating and size is the standard size that you find in most theaters. There are no restaurants in the actual theater; however they do have a concession stand as well as restaurants around the area including Chili’s, Ihop, Jimmy’s Indian Cuisine, and Marcello’s Italian Restaurant. The theater shows movies at all different times depending on which day of the week it is. For a movie schedule visit the Cinemark website, call 530-751-2850, or stop by the theater. Admission fees are adult matinee before 6pm $6.00, adult evening $8.00, adult Fri/Sat after 6pm (*Price also applies to Special Advance Showings) $8.50, and child (1-11) /senior (62+) $6.00. Special prices include early bird first matinee show time (7 days a week) $5.00, seniors day (all day Monday) $5.00, and all day Tuesday (holidays excluded) $6.00. The other theater within local area of Yuba City is the Beale A.F.B movie theater if you have access to the base (Military I.D. is required). The theater is small compared to most other theaters with only one movie showing at time; however it is convenient and affordable for those with access. The movie theater has a concession stand with a Burger King, Anthony’s Pizza, and Robin Hood located outside around the theater. The theater usually only does showings Friday-Sunday at 1:00pm and 7:30pm, but it varies week from week. I don’t have exact admission fees available, but they are under $6 for adults and cheaper for children.

That concludes the review for theaters within the local area of Yuba City, CA. If you do not mind driving about an hour there are several more options in Roseville, Sacramento, and other surrounding areas. In the Roseville area you can attend Century Roseville 14 located on 1555 Eureka Road or UA Olympus Pointe 12 located on 520 N. Sunrise Ave. Both theaters have multiple show times as well as multiple movies playing depending which day you wish to see a movie. They each have standard seating as well as concession stands. Century 14 concession stand also has ice cream, nachos, pies, and ices in addition to traditional concession food. There are plenty of restaurants to chose from in the Roseville area including BJ’s Bar and Grill, Outback Steak House, Red Robin, and much more. Admission fees are slightly different, but similar. Century 14 fees are adult matinee before 6pm (Sat/Sun/Holidays before 2pm) $7.50, adult evening $9.75, adult Fri/Sat after 6pm (*Price also applies to Special Advance Showings) $10.00, and child (1-11) /senior (62+) $6.50. UA Olympus Pointe 12 admission fees are adult – $10.50 (Fri & Sat), adult evening $10.25, matinee (M-F all shows before 6:00 p.m. Sat/Sun/Holidays Before 2:00 p.m.) $7.75, child $6.75, and senior $6.75. If you would rather take a trip down to Sacramento there a many more options in movie theaters including Esquire IMAX Theater as well as many others. The theater is located on 1211 K Street. Admission fees are adult: $10.00, senior: $9.00, and child: $8.00. Children 2 and under not sitting in a seat are free. Specials and discounts include:
