What were the best new television shows in 2009 for the major networks? All four major networks contributed strong new shows, but they made it to my top 5 new television shows of 2009. Here is a list of my favorite new television shows of 2009 and the reasons why I chose them. I’m sure some will disagree, but here are the shows that make me want to watch and ask for more in 2009.
1) The Middle-ABC
Why media over modern family? Most critics seem to be picking on Modern Family and I can’t disagree by a long shot. My wife also thinks Modern Family is the best new television show of 2009. But I choose Medium as the best new television show of 2009 and here’s why. Don’t put a price tag on it old humor. Media struck a chord with me in the first episode. My initial reaction was that this show probably won’t make it because it’s a little too raw. I watched it because I was a big fan of Modern Family off the bat. Something happened somewhere and I became very attached to the characters of The Middle. The part was made with raw characters, I enjoyed it. So what if everyone has their own quirky family members attitude. Is it true in real life and isn’t that what makes it funny? For me, that finally won me over. The character development is fun and you feel like experiencing some growing pains together with your family.
Patricia Heaton bites me in the middle week after week, literally. He’s in the middle of a wacky family that includes a teenage son who just always wears boxers, a daughter going through the pain of puberty and a younger son who just hums and repeats stuff. Add to that a husband who sounds like the same quirky person and you have a typical Midwestern family. I originally thought of a show called The Middle that Patricia Heaton was stuck in the middle of a crazy family. I also thought that maybe I was because the family was stuck in the middle of nowhere in a crazy Indian corn. Now I realize that I am definitely a viewer that is caught in the middle and I love it.
The plots are usually just realistic enough to hit the mark, but the humor is sometimes over the top. You can do all the work and feel like a neighbor or even consider this as your family. Recommended with individual characters and individual fortunes. Not even some therapy. Medium is not based anywhere, but Indiana works for many reasons. I have to admit I’m anxious to see what else this show has to do with the plot and character development. It’s probably my favorite family comedy since the wacky days of Greves Pain or The Wonder Years. Is this good? Maybe the same thing won’t be mentioned when all is said and done, but the bottom line is the show just makes me laugh consistently every week. Life is weird and odd and somehow The Middle captures all of that in a 30 minute sitcom. Medium won the battle if I had to spend time on new television every week in 2009. It is by far my favorite new television show of 2009. I just hope ABC keeps it around for a while.
2) Modern FamilyABC
Any other year and I would choose Modern Family as my favorite new television show. In 2009 he took secondary Middle. However, Modern Family experienced such an odd family dynamic that it struck a funny chord with many, not to mention critics. Modern Gender is a strong show and ABC has a long term winner without a doubt with this 30 minute situation. comedy. Julie Bowen is hilarious as expected after stints on Ed and Boston Legal. Don’t forget the guy who played Al Bundy is back in comedy where he belongs. Ed O’Neill is as funny as the days of Married With Children or even better. Ty Burrell is also terrific and quirky in every episode.
The robbers intervene though, as are the hilarious duo Mitchell and Cameron. Each week those two provide a laugh that you just won’t see coming. The reaction of the family members to Mitchell and Cameron is the kind of thing that makes Modern Family tick higher. Terrible and one of the brightest and best new television shows of 2009. When it comes down to it, Modern Family will probably beat The Middle in terms of longevity and fan support.
3) Glee-FOX
Glee is just fun and doesn’t take too long. It’s a trend setting show that everyone else wishes they had thought about. Glee is solid in humor and strong in music. Glee’s musical act may be a lip service but no one seems to care. Glee also offered Jane Lynch the opportunity to showcase her talents as coach Sue Silvester Vincebus. His characters and Schuester’s Will collide with such ferocity that they knock you out and knock the entire next block off. Glee is a hit for FOX and the only question is when will the show fizzle? Will he have the power to tighten it up in 3-4 years or season 2 as the kids continue to age? Glee is definitely one of the best new television shows of 2009. Let’s hope FOX sticks to its game plan and figures out a way to make Glee at least 3-4 href=”https:// e-info.vn/tag/five-year-plan”>year.
4) V-ABC
I’ll admit I was hooked after the first episode of V even though I only watched it for giggles. I watched the old show and enjoyed it as a kid but didn’t have many expectations for this remake. I was impressed and felt like watching the new V and I think it is without a doubt one of the best television shows of 2009. Can the number of 2009 be supported at first? Well, the question at V is a lot of camro. Sci-Fi has always seemed to grab viewers a lot as aliens deal with people on planet Earth. V is pressing and doesn’t show any signs of being too silly yet. That allows V to keep viewers in 2010 and ask for more. The first few episodes aired in 2010 so the show could be trying to bring the numbers to a much larger market.
5) Flash Forward-ABC
Flash Forward is not just Lost but it is also intense and interesting. The big question about Flash Forward is whether it can maintain its energy and focus once the plot continues to grow. The press was outstanding but the show worked at times to get the grade. It just doesn’t have the same effect as Lost.
I also hate comparing it to Peri but it’s the kind of show that’s been branded as one that couldn’t have had a better idea. What he doesn’t want, he doesn’t like. It’s fun and intense and I look forward to seeing what happens in 2010. I love Lost a lot, Flash Forward has a lot of explaining to do in 2010. It’s still one of the best new television shows in the major markets in 2010. Let’s hope when the show starts to offer more answers that the spectators do not begin to hit.
