Best Online Writing Sites that Pay

I have been writing online for nine months. I have been writing articles and being paid from the sites I write on. I have listed the writing sites for other writers who are interested in writing online and earning from their writing skills. I have been experimenting with my writing. Some articles do better on some sites/ other articles do better on other sites. Bukisa does not get a lot of hits yet, but I am hoping they will in the future. Associated Content was bought by Yahoo and their hits seem to be picking up. Helium seems to be the best site for writing when it comes to hits and revenue pay.

Each month I will tell you the good and bad things about writing sites. Some sites are good one month and bad the next. This month’s writing site that fell completely apart was Break Studios. When I began writing for Break Studios, I wrote on a PG site that had plenty of articles to choose from. I was laid off this month during a change in their site. I joined the site as a Christian and their writing style changed. Break Studios went from a PG site to an R and sometimes X-rated site with some of the articles they offered to the writer. They cut their articles down to almost nothing for writers to choose from and made it nearly impossible to make money. I made most of my money on Break Studios, so this change took money out of my pocket. Break Studios is this month’s hurt your wallet writing site for writers trying to make money writing online. Beware of Break Studios and watch their changes carefully.

Monthly update on Break Studios-When I began working for them, they had over 4000 articles to choose from. Today, they have 11 articles to choose from. I do not know if the company is going out of business or not. I made only eight dollars this month on Break Studios because they accepted one article. Break Studios has removed the chance for writers to write articles/is this temporary or for good?

1. Associated Content- I have earned one hundred and fifty seven dollars on Associated Content. I earned twenty-seven dollars in November. encouragement does me more a lot of good. Remember to use Word to correct your writing before you add your articles to a site. October and November were very good months for me on Associated Content. I have reached 95000 hits on my articles in nine months. The past three days, my articles have had over 1000 hits or more each day. I began a daily article about famous people who died and it is beginning to get decent hits. Associated Content has taken over as my number one writing site even though I only earn about 27 dollars a month so far.

2. Helium is the second best online writing site. I have earned more money on Helium than Associated, but Associated led me to all the sites I earned money from so far. On Helium you earn money for all your articles. They no longer pay you when you suggest a new title. Three months ago,Helium actually sold usage of one of my articles for five dollars. The publisher uses your article, but you keep full rights to your article. You have to have writing and rating stars to receive your payment. It is easy to get writing and rating stars. It takes a few minutes a day to rate other articles on the Helium site. I have made $221 on Helium in nine months. They pay you through PayPal. You have to earn twenty-five dollars before Helium will pay you. I learned recently, you earn more when your article is one of the top articles. This month, I actually had two articles on the front page of the site. This helps get traffic to your articles. This also gives publishers a sneak peak at your articles. This is my second favorite site to write and earn money. Helium changed their payment structure. They no longer pay upfront money for your articles. They have replaced this with many more articles in their marketplace. This is bad news, but some people believe you can make more money this way. I still like the site, but I do not like to write third-person articles. I haven’t made up my mind if I like this change, but it has not kept me from writing on Helium. I like the feature on the Helium site where you can watch your earnings grow every minute.

3. E-how-I wrote six articles on E-how. I earned $60 on their site. E-how has never sent me payment. I do not know if they will because they no longer accept articles through the E-how site. They only receive E-how articles from their parent website, Demand Studios. I have listed E-how because they do pay. E-how pays slowly and I wonder if they will ever pay me the rest of my money. You can no longer write on E-how, but they claim to pay residual income. I am waiting for the rest of my residual income. I have now been paid $29.45 of my earnings on this site.

4. Demand Studios-I do not work for Demand Studios. They would not accept me. I sent my resume and sample articles, but they denied my application. I listed Demand Studios because they do pay. I am now writing for Demand Studios as a ghostwriter. I wrote my first article and they accepted it without asking me to change anything. They do not know I am writing on their site, but I am writing to prove that I can write on their site. This is my own personal victory. I love to prove large companies wrong. After I write fifty or sixty articles as a ghostwriter, I may try to write for them as myself. I do not like this site. They are too picky for what they pay per article. I decided not to write for Demand Studios this month. I wrote one article and earned ten dollars. I do not like how many articles are unspecific and the editors want you to be specific. This is annoying and time consuming. I have not decided if I will continue to be a ghost writer. I did not do any more work for Demand Studios. They pay because I have some friends who work for them. Demand Studios often asks for a lot for what you get paid for when you write for them. They pay well per article, but expect to spend a considerable amount of time writing articles for their site. I may send in an application this month to make more money.

5. Constant Content -I wrote one article for Constant Content. It was a creative article and they sold it within five days. They sold the article for $50 and paid me $32.50 through PayPal. Constant Content sells the author’s articles and pays the author 65 percent of the proceeds. I have two more articles on Constant Content under review. I have a couple of articles on Constant Content, but have not had sold any more. I have not found any of their wanted articles that meet my interest. I have not found other articles on Constant Content that are of interest to me yet. I am still trying to decide if this site is worth the time and effort.

6. Break Studios -I have been writing for Break Studios for five and a half months. I have written over two hundred and seventy two articles for them. They have published two hundred and seventy two of my articles, so far. They pay $8 per article and they pay through PayPal. They pay twice a month. I have earned $2176 on Break Studios so far. The sign up process for Break Studios is the same process as Demand Studios. You have to send them a resume and sample articles. I love the site and they are easy to write for. The cool thing about Break Studios is when they publish your articles; your name goes with each article in capital letters. They pay you and advertise you at the same time. This site is where I have made most of my money. A few notes on Break Studios. You will find some editors differ on what they want from your articles. You have to go with the flow. Break Studios has changed how they release articles on their site. Sometimes it is hard to find articles that you want to write. I trained myself to write different types of articles this month because it was the only way for me to make money. You need to be flexible when you work for Break Studios, but you can see they pay well. I did not like the tons of perverted sex articles they offered this month. This is just a little extra information to let the writer know what they are getting into when writing for Break Studios. This is the online site where I make most of my money from writing.

Important note about Break Studios- I joined the site as a Christian and their writing style changed. Beware of Break Studios and watch their changing carefully. Bad news for the Break Studios writers.

7. Seed- This month I added Seed to my list. I have written one article for Seed. They paid me $10 through PayPal. A friend told me, he saw my writing on AOL. I have not seen my story yet, but it is interesting that somebody else has read my story. I have not written for See this month. I will write more for Seed them when I get the time. They have some simple articles you can write. Go to seed.com to get to the website. I may try to write more articles for Seed this month.

8. Bukisa – I also write for Bukisa. I have only earned $26 on their site so far. Bukisa will pay you once you earn ten dollars. Obviously, they have not paid me any money yet. bukisa.com is the website, I still have not made enough to get paid by Bukisa. I have not been paid by Bukisa yet, will update next month. They tell me I will now be paid my first fifteen dollars next month. Will update. There is also a change on Bukisa, you will now have to connect your account to Google to earn money. They will pay everybody at the end of January and you will begin earning money on Google. They make it very easy to connect your account to Google. I am beginning to believe many writing sites are being affected by the economy and are changing their way of paying to save money. Will let you know when Bukisa pays me. I have $7 dollars in my Google account and they pay you when your account reaches 100 dollars.

9. Epinions- Epinions does pay you for writing. They pay you for review of products, movies, books and such. They do not pay good money for your writing. I began writing on Epinions in 2001. I have only written 77 epinions for the site. My best article has 4758 hits with only $1.76 in earnings. I have made a total of $24.96 on Epinions and have been paid $20.00. You can make money on this site, but not much. They have writers who control each division and these same writers are in competition with your work. This takes away from your potential. Good luck with Epinions.

10. Freelancer.com is an interesting site. I have not made any money on the site yet, but I have friends that have been paid. You bid on articles of work. The work can be writing, ghostwriting, editing, etc. It depends on what the person/company wants from you. You get fifty bids per month. I have not won a bid yet, but will try some more this month. I will let you know in the future if Freelancer.com is a great place to write for or not. I placed a few bids on the site, but did not win any bids. I will try more and see if anybody hires me. I have friends who have made money on this site. Did not have any luck on this site this month

Text broker, Triond and Squidoo are three more sites that pay the writer to write. I do not write on either of these sites. However, I have friends that write for both companies and make some money. Remember one important thing. You can take articles from one of your sites and add it to another site. Make sure you do not make your articles exclusive to Associated Content. You want to keep full rights of all your writing. You want to get the most out of your writing.

This month’s new site for me is Wikinut. They are a foreign writing site, but promise to pay through PayPal. I have added a few articles and will let you know if you actually get paid from Wikinut in the future. Here is a link to check them out yourself.

I earned a total of over 2600 in my first nine full months of writing online. Most of my earnings are from the past eighteen weeks. Although, my past thirty days have been nothing to get excited about when it comes to making money from my writing. These are the sites I know pay writers for online writing. I am trying out a few other sites. If you have any sites to add to this list, please write them in the comments section. My next goal is to try to write on Christian sites. My wife and I have sent most of my earnings to the Philippines to help her family survive. I hope this list helps other writers. If you click on some of the links through this article, you can sign up for some of the sites you are not writing for yet. Associated Content is my favorite because of the encouragement all the other writers give to a new online writer like me.

These are the writing sites I know pay the writer to write so far. I want to thank everybody who looks at my articles. I also want to thank the sites who pay all of us writers to write on their sites. One note-you can put the same articles on multiple sites. An article may make twenty cents on Associated Content-the same article may make three dollars on Helium-and vice versa. Do not limit yourself to one site. One site may not accept you. Do not give up. There are other sites that will accept your writing. Demand Studios would not accept me and now I make a lot of money on Break Studios. Good luck everybody and keep writing. I added some website addresses for those who are looking for them.

I have been writing online for nine months. Learning the ropes can be time consuming and difficult. Sites pay, but they don’t often pay you a lot of money. I continue to look for sites that pay the writer to do what the writer loves to do, write. I will add and subtract sites when it is appropriate. If you have any sites that pay the writer to write, please leave the information in the comments and I will check them out.

I cannot figure out Squido, if anybody can give me help about how to write with this complany, please help me out. Enjoy the writing sites and keep writing.
