Las Vegas offers a lot of options these days when it comes to pools. Each casino resort seems to try to top the others by offering an even more over-the-top experience. To me, there’s something about ancient Rome that really represents luxurious swimming and bathing and the spectacular Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis area at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas brings ancient Rome to modern Vegas.
Even the design, with giant columns and statues, reminds me of the Roman Forum area, and it all comes together perfectly. The architecture of the various Caesars hotel towers surrounding the pool really completes the effect. I spent the Labor Day holiday there and had an amazing time.
Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis
The area features eight different swimming pools on three levels, along with a waterfall, swim-up bars, and blackjack tables, all surrounded by deck chairs, daybeds, and private cabanas. Spa services are available poolside from Caesars’ awesome Qua Baths & Spa. Go-go dancers provide entertainment on Saturdays and Sundays while a DJ spins dance music.
Bacchus VIP Pool
On this visit to Caesars, I got to experience the ultra-luxury of Caesars’ private Bacchus VIP pool. It’s a private area on a deck area overlooking the main pool area. The Bacchus VIP pool features luxurious cabanas that are like mini apartments, and we spent the day in one, enjoying the flat-screen TV, refrigerator, and other amenities. The cabana even had couches, tables, and cool Roman sculptures, along with a private balcony overlooking another pool area. The service matches the surroundings with attentive pool butlers, and the pool itself is a work of art with intricate marble work. Bacchus VIP pool cabanas are $750 per day mid-week, $1,500 per day on weekends, and $2,100 on holidays. The mid-week rate includes a $200 food and beverage credit, and the holiday rate includes a $500 credit.
Venus Pool
Within the Garden of the Gods pool complex is the ultra-sexy Venus Pool, which is the adults-only, topless, nightclub-like pool. This is run by the top-notch nightlife company who run PURE nightclub and other hip Vegas hotspots. Like a hot nightclub, the door policy is strict — beautiful people only, unless you’re a big player at Caesars or are willing to pay for a cabana.
When to Go
The main action in the pool area is during the summer season, between Memorial Day and Labor Day. During the off-season, only the Venus pool is open. The Garden of the Gods pool experience is open to non-hotel guests for a $20 per person fee, Friday through Sunday.
Using My Caesars Total Rewards Credits
I try to limit my casino play to one casino (or at least one gaming and hotel group) and use the Caesars Total Rewards program to maximize the value I get for the money I lay out, just like earning frequent flyer miles on a single airline. I earn Rewards Credits for my casino play, but also for my spending at the hotel, restaurants, and other parts of my trip, and can then use those credits for meals, rooms, and things like my Bacchus pool cabana and my entire Labor Day stay.
