Rainwater
Ranked as one of the top forty restaurants in Atlanta by Zagat’s, Rainwater is an ideal place to have a nice romantic dinner. Rainwater’s owner Andrew Fotos says the restaurant was built to look like a home. And the building itself is definitely part of its charm. There is just something naturally welcoming about a restaurant designed with home in mind. However, if you are getting images of a restaurant situated in a little cottage in your head, think of a European estate instead. The interior of Rainwater is clean, with customary furnishings and a few whimsical touches. One such touch being their raindrop chandeliers. Their seating is comfortable. I especially like their high back booths; even if being situated in the middle of the room takes away from the intimacy a bit. Rainwater serves New American cuisine. The menu consists of items such as stout beer battered oysters, caesar salad, venison, and chocolate torte. Rainwater also has a good selection of Californian wines and 40 by the glass options. Expect to enjoy your romantic dinner among good food, excellent service, a somewhat noisy but inviting atmosphere, and expensive prices. The Supper Club
If you envision candles and conversation as part of your romantic dinner, The Supper Club delivers. It is a small restaurant, offering semi-private seating, low lights, and good food. Beyond tasting good, they are proud to serve food that is also natural and hormone free. The exterior is nothing to talk about, but the interior is a bit exotic in style. The Supper Club is an interesting spot to have a romantic dinner. Their menu varies; but some sample items from one menu are brie and gorgonzola fondue, Painted Hills Farm all natural hormone free NY Strip, and chocolate pot de crème. The Sun Dial Restaurant, Bar, and View
While the food is good, a romantic dinner at The Sun Dial Restaurant is all about the view. Located over seventy stories high, this revolving restaurant offers a beautiful view of Atlanta, Georgia. They serve American cuisine with entrees such as Grilled Tenderloin of Beef and Roasted Ashley Farms organic chicken. Entrée prices range from $30 to $40. If during your romantic dinner you would like to surprise your date with flowers or a cake, The Sun Dial will accommodate your request if given 48 hours advance notice. The cost for cake or flower delivery starts at $45. In addition to the restaurant, there is a bar and an observation level. If you do not want to lug your camera with you, they sell disposable cameras as well. Their dress code is business casual for dinners. Atmosphere Restaurant
You are bound to enjoy a romantic dinner in this charming house turned French bistro. Smaller dining rooms add a bit more intimacy to your date. Even better, have your romantic dinner on their patio outside. The food is good, the atmosphere is both cool and warm, and the service is pleasant. Some sample menu items are marinated escargots baked in butter, porcini and cremini mushroom vegetarian risotto, filets of trout Amandine, roasted duck leg confit, and chocolate crunchy with crème anglaise.
