Beware of Flimsy Return Policies at Walmart

As many consumers have noticed, some changes have been made to Walmart’s revenue planning over the past year. Behind the customer service desk is a great sign that clearly elicits the same types of returns as their website does. This return policy states that “Most items with receipt can be exchanged within 90 days of purchase” or “with a few exceptions to this rule.” Exceptions are as follows:

  • Computers, camcorders, digital cameras, digital music players, e-tablets, e-readers, portable video players, GPS units, video game hardware, cell phones pre-paid cell phones within < b>15 days upon receipt.
  • Airbeds within 15 days with the receipt not defective and opened or used will only be exchanged for an airbed of equal or greater value.
  • Defective airbeds will be exchanged for airbeds of equal or greater value within 90 days.
  • Swimming pools, lawn mowers, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, air conditioners, power washers, compressors and generators must be returned within 30 days. > With receipt to obtain a refund or exchange.

refund or exchange.

  • If the above mentioned pages are defective, they can be returned within 90 days with the original packaging and packaging. Defective units may be exchanged for another unit of the same title.
  • < Disabled units can be exchanged for another unit with a different title if the original title is not available.

  • All perennials, trees and shrubs are returned within 1 year with receipt to obtain a refund or exchange.

Funny…. I don’t see L.E.I. pants on that list. However, a customer service representative with two service supervisors at the Harding Highway Walmart Supercenter in Lima, OH told me that the company’s policy is L.E.I. The Genoese are none other than L.E.I. they can be exchanged. trousers without tax, even though the themes were connected. When I spoke with the engineers, I explained to them that I didn’t want the money, I wanted to exchange it for a cell phone gift card so I could use it to pump gas. I was told I couldn’t, because with L.E.I. and this they could not bend. Then they told me that the Walmart gas station was a different company and they couldn’t give me a gift card to use at the pump anyway. But look at the company’s Non-Receipt return policy.

According to both the sign in the store and their website, “You have the option of cash payment (for purchases under $25$) Gift Card for the purchase amount (for purchases over $25) or even a product exchange. It seems that not having a receipt was irrelevant. I had not made a return in the last 45 days. I could have returned the gift card or cash.

I was able to find more time for the receipt. I was given the opportunity to have a credit card for the price of Genoese. I can only get a gift card Can I use the gas station?” She replied: “Hey, we can do it!” After my 10 second flash I realized what had just happened. Apparently, Walmart suddenly owned the gas station again…

After returning home , I called the phone. It was the second Lima area Walmart Supercenter on Allentown Rd. I politely asked the customer service representative if he could return a pair of L.E.I. Jeans with the tags attached and no receipt in exchange for gift card. “I can’t prove the rest over the phone without seeing the item, but if they are in the condition you say then there shouldn’t be a problem.” I asked if there was any special advice about L.E.I. jeans “No, not that I know of.” She sounded like I thought I might be crazy.

This is also not my first rodeo with Walmart because of the change system. I tried to return the chapter within the time period that was allotted in the state for the time being, and that I bought it at the Harding Road Walmart and wanted to exchange it at Allentown Rd. Walmart didn’t get it, they denied me such. This is something that is not defined in the income plan as well.

Shopping at Walmart is no longer going to be an option in my family, with the painful realization that customer satisfaction is no longer on their radar much less at the top of their priority list. I highly recommend that anyone spending their money at Wally’s World consider it a final purchase, if only to build a new rule or two against them.
