Black Hair Care: Going Natural

A common misconception among black women is that natural hair is more difficult to manage than relaxed hair. Caring for natural hair requires different skills, but these skills are just different and not necessarily more serious than relaxed hair care methods. Of course, at the root of the “difficult to manage” argument is that even today, many black women still cling to the idea that only straight hair she is beautiful This is an outmoded and racist concept that has been the only standard of beauty for centuries for European aesthetics. Attitudes about the beauty of black lines and culture have begun to change, but there is still work to be done. My sisters, embrace your unique texture and love your natural locks!

Transition
Like many women of color, I got my first massage when I was a girl and spent many years getting touch ups. and in various lengths and styles. After a while, I frankly got bored with having straight hair. I just one day stopped getting relaxers and the hair did its thing. It is very dangerous to do this because the hair is weaker in the area where the new growth meets the relaxed hair. After two years I had a full mane of wild stray hair. Not straight enough, not afro enough, my “halo weave” became. I loved my natural hair and received many compliments. Some women prefer to just go for a big chop rather than grow a relaxer. I also did this. I cut off my “rainbow texture” and rocked it low natural for several years. Products
Using the right products goes a long way to achieving the look you desire. Many black women who choose to go natural also use products that contain all natural ingredients. . Light, natural oils like rosemary and sage are common choices. The unique and often varied curl/wave of black hair makes moisture an important factor in choosing hair care. It is important to choose products that effectively moisturize, but hair and hair follicles. If your head is not breathing, your head is not growing. Black women often use heavy creams and ointments on to make their hair shiny. The more irony is produced, the slower the hair itself will be.

The Tools
Products that prevent hair breakage at night are essential tools for both loose and natural hair. Silk scarves and pillows help to fall in the fracture. After washing deep Conditioner, pat dry with a micro-fiber towel. It helps to avoid dry hair altogether because too much heat is not good for one’s hair. Add leave-in conditioner and again use a wide-toothed comb to ensure even distribution. Use any type of moisturizer or lighthair as needed, using your fingers or a comb to set the hair as desired. . Add some fluff, a flower, a tail holder or another accessory and voila! You are officially flaunting your natural beauty tips.
