Boomtown is great from short visits or longer stays. The casino has every game you can think of (and winning is lots of fun!). For adults it’s a great place to stop and play while passing by westbound on I-80 near Reno.
If family entertainment is what you have in mind, check out their “Fun Center”. The games are strictly for kids, from throwing balls through hoops to miniature golf, to the Motion Theatre. They have video games for even the most sophisticated teens, too. The carousel is small but elegant and the Ferris Wheel is a delight for young and old alike. It’s all indoors so the weather is never a concern. Boomtown is conveniently located close to Reno so you can add it to your list of adult activities or make it a special stop just for the kids.
The Motion Theatre is a favorite with my grandkids. Is seems like a regular theatre where you go to watch a movie. But these movies are really special and different! You feel the breeze of fast moving images! The bumps and turns of travel through space or a jungle or a haunted mine. It’s exciting and entertaining to the limit! The wife and I get a huge kick out of it, especially when we have the kids and grandkids along.
If you’re hungry, you can’t beat Boomtown! If pizza is your favorite, they have it! If you like buffets, they have one! If a huge seafood buffet is what you want, Boomtown has the best I’ve ever been to! The lobster is fabulous! And all you can eat!
Boomtown has great accommodations, too. If you plan to spend a day or two (or longer) to enjoy the gaming and Fun Center and food, you can get a variety of rooms. The suites are huge, clean and comfortable. Their cable TV will entertain sleepy kids after a long day at the Fun Center, so the adults can play their own sort of games! The indoor pool is located in the hotel section and a great place to relax or let the little ones burn off some energy.
There’s plenty of parking and gas stations are close at hand. When my family wants a getaway, we head for Boomtown. You should try it!
