To be successful with Tastefully Simple, create a list of goals. Write a plan for your business that will take you through the first year. If you have trouble creating a plan, ask the person who helped you sign up to help you. Make goals such as: How many customers will you contact each month? How many parties will you book each month? How many flyers will you distribute? How much profit will you make each month? They key is to be very detailed with these goals. Spend time planning and time each day reviewing your plan. As you begin to consistently meet your goals raise them. Here’s an example: You plan to host 5 shows this month, sell to 10 new customers and make $500 profit. Review this goal each day and plan new way to help meet it.
The most important aspect of your success will be in your ability to promote the products and business opportunity. Start with everyone you know. Friends, family, co-workers and acquaintances are the first people you can contact about your new business. Ask for them to give you names of other people who may be interested in Tastefully Simple. Create flyers and business cards that you can hand out wherever you go. You can’t be afraid to talk about the business and ask people for their contact information. You need to look at each opportunity as a way to grow your business. Here’s an example: You go to your monthly beauty salon appointment. You happen to have a loaf of Tastefully Simple beer bread that you baked. You take some slices with you to share and some business cards. One of the stylists loves the bread. You give her your card and ask if she would be interested in throwing a party to earn free products. You follow up with her the next day and book a party with ten of her friends. Just a trip to the salon that you would have taken anyway, has now allowed you to book a party, make a new contact and have the potential of booking more parties with that contact’s ten friends. Opportunities for promotion are literally everywhere.
Resell to your previous customers. Always stay in touch with your customers. Think of ways to get them to repurchase from you. You can create monthly specials, hostess incentives and theme events for your customers. Here’s an example: Create a “Mother’s Day” special for the month of May. Have 4 products in a gift bag available at a set price for your customers. Send an email to all your contacts with the information.
If you provide quality service to your customers they will continue to purchase from you and also refer you to their friends and family. Always keep track of your customer contact information. You could also keep track of their birthday and offer them a special at that time. Or keep track of the items they regularly order and let them know if there is a special on them. Take care of your customers and your business will grow.
