Campground Locations in Central New York

The Central New York region runs through the five beautiful counties of Cortland, Cayuga, Onondaga, Oswego and Madison. There are many campgrounds in these scenic counties perfect for family vacations or simple overnight trips. If you are ever in the area, please check out one of the following campgrounds listed below.

(1) Yellow Lantern Campground is located in Cortland, New York. Yellow Lantern is conveniently located one mile from Interstate 81. There are tons of activities for children such as play, a game room, and a wading pool. . It is also a familiar game in volleyball court, basketball courts, swimming pits, recreation hall and major swimming lake. There are over 200 campsites with full hookups for maximum convenience. (2) Texas Hill Country Campground is located in Marathon, New York. Hill Country offers more than 40 campsites that are perfect for trailers or tents. Store on site with public phone, wood, and much more. In addition to the camp, there is a pond in the fields, which is great for fishing or swimming. Boats, canoes, and paddle boats can also be rented. Campground rentals typically start around $17 a night; however, water and electric hooks are more. (3) Forest Lake Campground in Cuyler, New York. Forest Lake Campground has a total of 100 campsites and will accommodate 25 of them for towing trailers. There are only a dozen sites that offer full hooks; therefore, we recommend that you call (607) 842-6401 in advance of your reservation time. Swimming, fishing, and boating are available on the private lake. Forest Lake Campground also has a recreation hall, laundry facilities, hiking trails, shelters, and public restrooms.

(4) Brennan’s Beach located in Pulaski, New York. Brennan Beach is located on the shores of Lake Ontario. Over 1,400 campsites are either RV or tent camping. Some of the facilities at Brennan Beach include full hookups, clean restrooms, an on-site store, and picnic tables at all campsites. . For family fun activities, they have tennis courts, swimming pools, game rooms, playgrounds, and the beach. Brennan’s Beach offers discounts for senior citizens and AAA members. (5) Sun RV Park is located in Oswego, New York. In addition to RV camping, Sunset also offers plenty of tent-style camping and cabin rentals. In addition to camping, Sunset Park offers family fun with a swimming pool, recreation area, dugout and swimming hole. Full hookups are available at most campsites. (6) The Lazy K RV Ranch is located in Cleveland, New York. The Lazy K RV village has about 100 forest camps and is surrounded by a peaceful and clean environment. Lazy K offers family fun with playground, game room and swimming pool for children. There are mountains of activities and events in the surrounding area within a few minutes’ drive. (7) Oneida River Park is located in Brewerton, New York and offers over 60 shaded campsites for tents or RVs. Twenty-five sites offer electric hookups, parking areas, grills, picnic tables and showers. It is a free beach and boat launch for water lovers. Basic tent site rentals start at $17 a night. (8) Lebanon Dam Campground located in Hamilton, NY. This campground offers 100 campsites that overlook Salem, Lebanon. Telephone hookups are available at most campsites. (9) Grant Park Vacation located in Fair Haven, New York. Grant’s Vacation Park offers 36 different campsite rentals to accommodate tents, trailers and full RVs. It’s a great job for a family member. (10) SutterCreek Campground located in Sterling, New York. Sterling is also famous for the Renaissance Fair, which are driven within the space from the plains. Campsites are available for tents or RV pitches. In addition to camping, SutterCreek offers hiking trails and wonderful fishing along the creek. Basic tent camping rates, without hitches, around $20.
