Carnival Cruise – Check in Procedure for Cruise Vacation

Our entire family took a fantastic cruise to the Bahamas in late September 2009 on the Carnival Pride cruise. I have tried to cover almost all the aspects that happened during and before the cruise in my recent series of such articles. Once you have properly prepared for your cruise, the last step will be to arrange check-in at the cruise terminal. In this article I have included a brief review of the statements made in the process at the beginning of the cruise for the benefit of all readers.

The most vital part is to get accurate address and directions to the pier from which the ship is sailing. There are various shuttle services that can provide you with pere pere. Such shuttle services charge around $40 for the first passenger and then an additional $10 for each passenger. Parking facilities are also available at the pier at a rate of approximately $15 per day at the pier parking for guests. But in case you need such a facility, make sure to book well in advance. Make sure you add the package tags to each bag supplied by management before your departure to the pier. Make sure to reach the pier about four hours before the cruise’s departure time. We reached the pier around three o’clock and our cruise departure time was 5.30pm. As soon as you arrive at the terminal, porters will be waiting outside the terminal building to carry your unaccompanied luggage. Make sure you park your vehicle only for luggage, belonging to the public room floor.

Your large bags would be picked up and delivered to your state room approximately three hours after the cruise departure. No alcoholic beverages are allowed to be carried on board. Only one bottle of wine or champagne was allowed per passenger. In case, you need to open your bottle of wine on the bench of the ship’s dining room, the cost of cooking. of $10 would be the order per bottle. Once your large bags are checked in, proceed to the terminal building entrance. Please note that there are no package tags for the bags that are issued at check-in. This is a normal cruise procedure and you don’t need to worry about it being delivered to your stateroom in checked bags. Your travel and immigration documents and passport will be checked initially at the gate of the terminal and you will have to go through a security check afterwards. No liquid or water is allowed to be carried inside the security area. So if you want to carry such items, make sure to put them in your carry-on bags.

When you pass through the security check, you must go to the immigration counter. The state test for this calculation would be delayed for US citizens. If you are not a US citizen, you will need to produce a passport issued by your country of origin, an eligible US visa or foreign permanent residence card ( green card) and your photo ID. The immigration agent takes a Xerox of your passport for records. You will also have to fix your credit card through which you will incur all your onboard expenses at this time. It is impossible that it is not necessary to carry large sums of money with you, as there are no monetary transactions on board. You will only need cash when you are in the Bahamas on excursions or at the social market.

Likewise, every guest is required to fill out a self-declaration form indicating whether or not they suffer from swine flu. If a passenger declares that he has some symptoms of swine flu, a medical examination is carried out at the terminal. The immigration agent would charge a credit card for shipping costs. This card should also be used as your room key during your cruise stay. Once you have completed this procedure, wait in the waiting hall until your zone number is announced for the register. Once announced, your photo is taken again and you are allowed to enter the ship through the precinct. This completes your check in process and you are all set to enjoy all the ship’s facilities as soon as you step into it.

As you have already understood that all the checking in the process is a bit tedious and time consuming, it is better to arrive at the deadline at least four hours in advance. This will really help you to go through all the festivities peacefully and relaxed. If any of the readers have any questions about this, they can all feel free to contact me.
