So you’ve decided to get a cell phone booth and you’re simply overwhelmed by the number of choices. Here is a guide to the different plans offered by Cingular. One thing to note is that not every company is available in your area, but you can visit the website to see if they are available in your area or not.
Special Go Phones: You can usually buy these phones for as cheap as 18.43-199.99, no matter where you shop and the phone you choose. I found the cheapest places to shop Cingular site itself (www.cingular.com), or both batteries online at their website (www.walmart.com) and obviously in their store. The problem with thrift store shopping is that you don’t always have the phones you saw online, but there are benefits like special deals and free shipping. not having Cingular offers a phone for kids called Fly which is a simple four smartphone phone. They offer a wide variety of mobile phones, which is their version of a prepaid phone.
There are two types of telephones; Give your input and choose your plan. When you go in, you buy a card that comes in many different denominations, $15, $25, $50, $75, and $100. You get a free $10 dollar when you buy the phone and a bonus if you activate a $25 or higher card when you activate the phone. Basic voice mail, call waiting, call waiting, caller ID and three call modes are all included for free. But you have to be careful that you will be charged for each call separately based on your plan.
Two plans with pay as you go option one you pay $.25 per minute for any call, not including international, there are no daily charges or anything else. This means that any name across united states will cost you $.25 whoever calls you, it will be the same for you. It is not free nights and weekends or free mobile to mobile.
Another plan they offer is $.10 a minute for all of your calls, no matter how many days you use your phone you get a $1 dollar daily access fee the next day after you use the phone for a voice call (anything but text messaging). The main advantage of this plan in my eyes is that you have free mobile to mobile, so you can call all your friends and friends family that have free and unlimited wireless bands. The word, although these are called, they still count for free, just like the voice called to access that daily fee. I chose this phone with daily fee access because I know at least 5 people with plans that I can now call for free and I liked their plans better than other carriers, even though their phones were more expensive or in my area. What I do to keep costs down with this plan is to tell my friends that I’m trying to save money and I’ll only answer the phone on Mondays and Thursdays. You can pick up as many days as you want or any days of the week, but you can keep track of these jobs as well as the days you use and the money you spend. Text messaging is available on both plans for $.05 per message either received or sent. You can also access your internet and web based on your phone.
The choose your plan option allows you to have any number of monthly plans ranging from $29.99-69.99. The way this works is to have the monthly fee withdrawn from your bank account or by removing your credit card at the beginning a month when you may be low on cash receipts, you can purchase more minutes in increments of $15 or $25. You can add a class to any of these plans for $4.99 a month for 200 text messages or for $19.99 a month for 3,000 text messages.
There aren’t a lot of minutes, but if you choose the $29.99 plan and use it all for voice calls, which means no text messages, ring tones< /a>, or internet access, you would have 200 minutes which would cost you $.15 each minute. In this plan no night and weekend minutes or free mobile to mobile. Another nice bonus feature is that you get round minutes on all of their plans, so if you don’t use all of your minutes for the month you keep them. This is important if you don’t talk much or as much as you thought.
For their $39.99 plan you pay $.133 per minute, so if you only use the phone for voice calling, you’d get 300 minutes per month. However, in this plan you get 1000 minutes per night and week and without mobile to mobile minutes.
For $49.99 you get 400 minutes each at a rate of $.125 per minute and voice calls to the phone only. You also get unlimited nights and weeks and nothing mobile up to mobile minutes.
Their highest plan at $69.99 makes your minutes $.108 per minute meaning you’d get 650 minutes per month if the entire plan is voice calls. You also have unlimited nights and weekends and unlimited mobile calls. This plan is probably the best deal because you will rarely use 650 minutes with the fact that you have free nights and weekends and free calls to all customers at any time. Although roughly $70 dollars a month can be a bit steep for a cell phone.
Overall, I think cell phones are the best prepaid phones that you get very good reception and you can check what kind of reception you get in your area on the internet. It’s the cheapest phone offer I’ve received because I’m not looking to spoil a huge deal right now. Great phone! The sound is great, and I have no other complaints because I asked for simple ones. Great reception for me too! My only complaint is that it costs you to call customer service for a few minutes. More chapters to be written about other providers so look forward if you are trying to get something!
