Raw David Otunga last night lead the link to the ring. He came in and told John Cena that the Nexus was under new management and that he was offering Cena introductions. Cena didn’t want to take a pulse from Nexus. As Nexus walked through the ramp door, CM Punk stepped out. Punk came down to the ring and Cena delivered the GTS. Punk grabbed the chair, but Cena sat down with it instead. Sitting up, Punk picked up Nexus’ arm and placed it over his left arm. He rose, and raised his right hand to the other members of the Nexus. Nexus returned the right hands to Punk as Raw went off the air. Now that Punk is the new leader of the Nexus, what does it mean for Wade Barrett to be the former leader?

Is Barrett still apart of the Nexus?< /p>
I think Barrett can still keep Nexus away. When Barrett was leading Nexus, he was always talking about a higher purpose. CM Punk might be the one to say the above. I hope WWE doesn’t move in this direction. Barrett seemed like a puppet who did everything Punk did instead of looking for a great leader. SmackDown. When you think about World Heavyweight Championship there aren’t many heels in the picture. Kane is the only real heel contender for the championship. Smackdown also has Alberto Del Rio and Champion Jack Swagger. In my opinion Del Rio is not ready to become World Heavyweight Champion. Swagger is down to the mid-card level of competing for the Intercontinental Championship and it may be a while before he gets a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship.
Barrett will return to help Cena fight. The Nexus?
This scenario seems unlikely, but it is possible that Barrett will return to help Cena fight the Nexus. If Bar returns to find he has been replaced, he will seek revenge on the members of the Nexus. Barrett needs to turn face in this situation, but he can side with Cena.
Will Barrett come back and defeat Royal Rumble?
This also seems unlikely. It is possible that Barrett could win the royal rumble but who would challenge him? Cena moved on to hate CM Punk. He could challenge whoever the World Heavyweight Champion is on Smackdown.
Is Barrett fired?
I don’t know how this question started but there is no way Barrett is fired. He was the winner of NXT Season 1. In Season 1 of NXT, the WWE Pros were chosen as the winner, unlike Season 2, where the WWE Universe had a conversation. That makes me think WWE is very concerned about Barrett. He was also given the ability to lead Nexus, in which he excelled. If he released Barrett, I would be surprised, since I think all the other Nexus members should be released first.
