Coleman RoadTrip Pro Portable Grill

I like to camp a bit, and I found myself in need of a new portable grill. I wasn’t going to take my four burner gas grill, and throw it in the back of a 4 x 4 and drive to the mountains with it, and the battered old charcoal grill had seen its last cookie.

I went to the good Dick, where I take many of my camping gear and found the Coleman RoadTrip. Pro Portable Grill for $259.99. Coleman is one of the best names I know in camping gear, and grills are no exception. I certainly found this to be true when I received this one.

To be honest, until I saw the Coleman RoadTrip Pro Portable Grill I had only thought of Coleman for lanterns and coolers. Of course I had seen some of the small stoves, but I didn’t really consider one of them, I wanted a grill that I could Cook a whole meal in the camp.

The Coleman RoadTrip Pro Portable Grill is exactly what I need. It has a decent cooking space, 345 square inches.

The Coleman RoadTrip Pro Portable Grill has two burners that can be placed under two grilling surfaces to hold four quarter-pound hamburgers on one side and two packs of hot dogs on the other side

Creamers are contained separately. I like to have one burner on high, for those like burgers or steaks that are well done, and the other on a lower flame to cook medium rare. So you can finish both at the same time.

I like the fact that the Coleman RoadTrip Pro Portable Grill is completely collapsible, and sets up in just a few minutes when you’re ready to cook. You just put your foot on the tow handle, grab the grill handle, and pull the grill up to extend the cooking operation. It’s so simple that I can’t even screw it up.

When you’re done cooking, and the Coleman RoadTrip Pro Portable Grill has cooled down, just reset the process and it’s ready to be put away again. Crusts are easily removed for cleaning, so tallow is the fat in the pan.

The Coleman RoadTrip Pro Portable Grill uses an available one-pound propane cylinder, and the flame is fully adjustable.

I’ve been using the Coleman RoadTrip Pro Portable Grill for about six months now, and I can’t think of anything else when I go camping. I can use the grill to cook a full meal at the campsite, and even for some football games given that it falls over a bit.

I recommend the Coleman RoadTrip Pro Portable Grill to anyone who needs a portable grill that needs a little space when not in use.
