While flipping through the flow of Marie Claire magazine, I read about a new product called “Conair Straightening Brush”. When I have wavy hair, I usually use a heated ceramic straightening iron to straighten frizzy hair. I thought this brush would be useful for me.
When I was at CVS, I spotted a brush and grabbed the last one on the shelf. The average retail price is $7.99 (this is what I paid, no sale or coupon). The description on the package is: “Model No. 95103. For medium to long hair – all textures. Straightens & Shoulder I have long hair.
My usual hair routine when washed hair (about 3 times a week) is to wash with shampoo and conditioner. Next, I’ll towel dry and apply an oil-type unfolding conditioner with a silky lotion product. Then I have my hair blow dry partially because I don’t have time to fully dry it.
Since my ceramic straightening iron only works on very dry hair, I use the iron the next day and heat it up. the greatest setting. This normally straightens the hair and banishes frizz. When I used a straightening brush straightened when the hair was wet, I followed the directions.

I didn’t like how my hair looked all day, so I used a straightening iron in the evening to fix my hairstyle.
I will never use the brush again because the results on my hair were not what Conair described on the packaging. I don’t think the brush can hold enough heat to comb the hair with a ceramic straightener. The iron presses the heat directly into the hair, and the results are straighter and lighter than straightening hair.
